I watched this kind of videos 6-7 years ago, looked so easy , and I bought Trex 700e . I could't even put them together lol stayed in storage .. year 2020 700e went to eBay for sale. and I order real flight 9 to restart in covid days.. if I learn I will try to build 250 pro which I bought with 700e lol . good job !!

Can't get stop watching this video again and again. It's impressive, artistic and inspiring, also all your other vids. So now I've got put some elements from your flights into my list of flight figures.
Thank you very much for sharing. All the best to you and keep on flying.

Great flight, and I noticed one thing! Alan has a strong left piro bias! Most of the time that tail needs to move, it's for a left turn.

Found one eye on the heli and the other watching the head speed. Stayed pretty consistent at 2000 plus or minus 100. Sweet flight.

What gets me is, except for the piro flips, how little he's actually moving the sticks through most of that. I remember watching Allen fly when he was still a teenager in school. He was darned impressive back then too but he's definitely showing a lot more maturity and smoothness in how he's flying. Even more impressive!

Great flight as usual, nearly nothing I can do from start to finish! Anyone think the 2000 RPM head speed is off? My 550x normal is 2150 and I’ll go to 2300 sometimes. Max is 2700. It’s pretty sluggish at 2000 even for me.

    • @alanszabojr
      @alanszabojr  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

The throttle curve with the governor on is at a flat 77% during this flight. The headspeed of 2000rpm is dead on.

I'm wondering if you have ever tried flying FPV your copter? If not maybe this is a great time to have a taste? DJI has put a lot of effort into recently to give HD quality very low lag video goggles to our flying hobby and the additional weight to a 5 inch 6S quad or to your copter is minimal compared to power to total up weight. We are using it in freestyle FPV flying and some even racing now with it. Beforehand we had analogue system less detailed almost zero lag video feed but now the digital system gives HQ and very long distance (over 2km) video and controller cover with telemetry. Its worth to mention that I am no representative for DJI. LOL (MinChan is currently championing the hobby but he is also a former RC helicopter champion)

I wonder if it will ever be possible for someone to perform stunts like this in a manned heli.
One of my first concerns was the G-forces that the pilot would be subjected to, but there's two major hurdles to overcome before that.
First hurdle would be creating rotors that could withstand the necessary speeds.
Second hurdle would be finding a lunatic willing to even attempt this.

    • @jukelol5907

Power to weight ratio on a heli of this scale is off the charts, impossible to get close to it on a full size heli

I wonder how much market share has the RC Helicopter been losing to quad drone era of DJI drone company and others? :)
5 years ago I lost my interest into the rc helicopter because I was just a novice and just wanted to have fun of flying up high with photography, video interest...I spent quiet $$ onto 450, 500 rc helicopter but every crash wasted too much hours to fix and repair...
Now I am back to the market but interest into quad drone video/photography for fun rather than this ...this is sport ,,extreme sport though :)
