Edit: after 2 years of posting this comment and replaying both Fnaf 4 and Fnac 3 I have to admit that Nightmare Fredbear (and by extention Nightmare and Nightmare Puppet) have a better design and are more terrifying than Monster Rat, Cat and even Vinnie.

The new ones look too shaky (though I do like how Chester jumpscares you at a sideways angle). For example, while Blank’s new jumpscare is more surprising, I liked how his old one made him look like he was looking at something, then he turned to look at the player. I also like how in the original, after most jumpscares, the screen would color invert, making them more creepy. They don’t do that in the remaster.

I think with characters like Blank in FNaC, Foxy in FNaF, and Beaver/Owl in ONaF, it's very difficult to make a 3D model move in a way you don't expect, so since Blank is extremely visual when punching through the screen, it's difficult to actually make his jumpscare scary.
