I don't like the title of this show, what's "nothing" and what's "something"?
It's another way of saying reaching the top in a field after being someone that wasn't known for doing anything relevant.
@@delzsupreme you worded that very well. I just don't like anyone being referred to as 'nothing' because they've yet to reach their goals. Especially young black men who often struggle with their self esteem
@@cory7412 yeah I agree in a sense being labelled as nothing isn’t nice. But going deeper into it the term is “coming from nothing” which could mean for example a young black man growing up in a council estate his whole life and then becoming great in a field, I.e that being music for Chip is a great way to describe it.
@@delzsupreme I definitely see what you mean but even then, should we be describing the council estate environment as 'nothing' I feel like a change of perspective for these communities starting now would be beneficial for the young people still growing up there.
@@cory7412 yeah that’s fair but the way this society is coming from a block of flats or council state is often looked down on. Most of the time when people here stories of people that have come from the other side they will still look down on us and say stuff like remember where you come from if they think you’re getting to ahead of yourself, which stems from insecurities and projections.
