He’s hilarious no doubt. I just became a Who fan couple of weeks ago, so I really don’t know much about the band members except for the few songs I’ve heard from their music catalogue. Wish I had discovered their music sooner.
@@MeeMee-gz5vp Soon enough you’ll be the biggest Who fan ever owning all their albums and bootlegs! 😄😄 Keith is amazing and same with the entire band and their music. Listen to everything they made if you can!
What a fucking shame he left us so soon. I never met the man but for Christ's sake he seemed like a good guy sober!! The sad thing is that he knew he had to change his drunken ways and had he made it just a little longer I feel he would have accomplished that!!! I miss him!!!
Keith may have had a bad reputation, but he was one of the nicest, and most humble people you would ever meet. Its sad he had such a bad drug and alcohol addiction as it gave him a bad name publicly, but he was a very caring and generous human being, and all he wanted to to make those around him happy and have a laugh.

@Jake Haynes Interesting.. My dad was a Roadie for the Doors.. Thats how he met Keith many times.. He was a roadie from 67-73.. He was Ray's Personal Roadie and specialized in the Piano and the Organ. He would fix and tune for him. My dad was at the Isle of Wight concert which I think was in 1970 if I am not mistaken and he said it was one of the greatest performances he had ever seen. And he had been to Woodstock and so many other incredible British and American Rock Festivals.
These kids will be able to look at this and play it back to there kids and grandkids and proudly say that was me with a legend .how proud they must feel 👏
that was fun , he comes over as a really nice guy as it goes , yes well done Keith , he would be 73 if still alive today , can't imagine that ..love the man sadly missed still ..
I would love to speak any one of those children now that they’re adults to hear their experience with their brief moment with Keith Moon. I bet they have some funny stories to tell worthy of giggles ☺️
Many times, Keith Moon knew how to put on a good show, and this event was no exception; personally, I found it hilarious. And I mean that as a compliment. Rest in peace, Keith.
:( I can tell too. I absolutely love him so it makes me sad. He was a good soul just dealing with some sad struggles. God bless him and prayers for him always
Hi I’m a new fan of The Who, I don’t know much about them as I’ve only been a fan for couple of weeks now. I’ve always heard of the group but never really paid much attention to their music. I think Keith Moon is hilarious and I had no idea he died long time ago.
Keith would have been such a huge draw in the 80s chat shows. An absolutely hilarious raconteur. Such a shame he died at only 32. He was made for comedy. In fact a few more days further into September 1978 he was due to fly out to Tunisia to film several parts for The Life of Brian. A sorely missed character!
Knowing Keith Moon he probably invoiced The Who Group Ltd for the instruments. He was very good at spending other people's money according to Roger Daltrey 🤣
Hi, new WHO fan here. Can anyone recommend a good book on the band? I’ve searched the internet for answers, but it’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack with all the iffy reviews on each book and I’d hate to read misinformation about them. Thanks in advance! Btw I love Keith Moon’s drumming style. Makes me want to buy a kit and learn drumming myself lol
The funniest thing about him is he's usually as calm as the sea but seems completely bonkers. It's the rdiculousness of the situation. Lord knows if he would've lived longer what Hollywood would do with him.He needs someone to be able to catch all the craziness much like Robin Williams did later on. This seems like a complete send up. Moon could be very dry with his humor as well.
Most of his interviews remind me a lot of robin williams interviews. I imaging had he successfully cleaned up his act. He would probably have been a similar type of character.
Does anyone know where this cadet unit was? I was in SELACF as a kid, and SWLACF as an instructor, would be interesting to know if I worked with any of these guys! ❤
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?
Keith Moon s'est fait un sketch de plus...mais perturbant quand-même pour ces gamins à qui on demande de se parodier eux- mêmes ((trop jeunes pour ça) ,intimidés par une star de la pop...pas très cool finalement tout ça...
Words cannot describe how much I love and appreciate this man. He was such a gem to mankind. God bless him

You can see the pain in his eyes.. sorry we couldn’t save more of these guys. Wasn’t common to talk about your problems back then. RIP Mr. Moon.

Those kids were extremely lucky to have been in the company of such a true rock & roll icon. Those kids lived a dream man
Those kids must have loved seeing Keith.
Keith's face as they blow their trumpets....classic😆
good pitch 😅🤣😂

He in my opinion the Greatest Drummer Still to this Day!

Keith Moon was in the Sea Cadets. Fantastic ! Forgot what a lovely man he was
Keith was a kind soul despite the rock n roll madness.
Keith Moon was a gem and nice to see the lads have a little banter with him and the interviewer. Great footage
that was fun , he comes over as a really nice guy as it goes , yes well done Keith , he would be 73 if still alive today , can't imagine that ..love the man sadly missed still ..
Very nice gesture and really quite touching. Gawd bless 'im
One of the very few occasions Nothing exploded, sober and not out of it very very rare footage.
A very special nut was he, one of a kind, no doubt...
Man this guy was Jekyl/Hyde
Great, Keith wasn't one to save his pennies at all. He was very flamboyant but nice to see him spending it wisely here.
I would love to speak any one of those children now that they’re adults to hear their experience with their brief moment with Keith Moon. I bet they have some funny stories to tell worthy of giggles ☺️
It's difficult to believe that Moon is only 30 years of age here
Looks roughly 40 or so. Absolutely fascinating individual
Was thinking the same!!! Looks 47!
Interviewer comes across as a complete prick.
What a lovely chap, what a loss.
My # 1 favorite drummer of my # 1 favorite band, of course, "The Who!!!!" ;-)
Man this is probably a fantastic story for those kids to tell today.
Many times, Keith Moon knew how to put on a good show, and this event was no exception; personally, I found it hilarious. And I mean that as a compliment. Rest in peace, Keith.
Moonie was such a likable chap when he was not hitting the sauce..
Keith ❤ Moon 👌🏼
What a wholesome gesture, and damn those kids have thick accents. Made out maybe 40% of what they said.
Think it is the way they are mumbling a little bit. They aren’t full cockney, but working class Londoners
I enjoyed this. A true good sense of humor.
What a Legend …..God bless you Keith
By his face we can see he was going through a hard time, despite of being smiling and laughing.
:( I can tell too. I absolutely love him so it makes me sad. He was a good soul just dealing with some sad struggles. God bless him and prayers for him always
Yes he looks like he could burst in to tears at any time.
I think this was around the time that he was taking Heminevrin
You can see he’s very anxious, uncomfortable and stressed here ...
He could have been struggling with sobriety
Fabulous , the real good ole days !
They should have played " COBWEBS AND STRANGE " .
🎶 🥁 🎺
Nice guy ...behind all the madness....
My idol
I can't imagine keith an old man, even if he had survived.
True. He wasn't meant to live long. A bright candle who burned out quickly. RIP.

@@MeeMee-gz5vp welcome!
"What do you think of Keith Moon playing your bass drum?"
"He's alright." xD
If Buddy Rich and Sid Caesar had a lovechild, it would be this man.
An Idol

great video !
oh, he's a dandy man indeed !
Knowing Keith Moon he probably invoiced The Who Group Ltd for the instruments. He was very good at spending other people's money according to Roger Daltrey 🤣
The Who Group Ltd is owned by all members of the band, its not exactly other people's money.

Before I get old by Dave Marsh. Great place to start :-)
All those boys are now in their 50s.
Atleast
The kids are alright.
I am no shrink, yet this talented dude was off his nuuuuuttts!! HA Yet never missed a beat!!

That Norman Gunston interview revealed what kind of man he was.
Yeah, a good man
That was truly hilarious and Norman played along well.
cool beard!
Sounds like Cobwebs and Strange a bit.
Goldfish love Rock n Roll 👍🎼🕺🏻
