  • Completing an online site survey with us could not be easier and in this video Danny explains just how easy it is as well as why we do it in the first place.
At Smart Home Charge, we like to be honest and upfront about the cost of your EV charger installation. And because your installation requirements may be different to someone else's, we treat you as an individual.
That's why we ask you to complete an Online Site Survey first so our engineers can assess the work needed and give you an accurate quote before you pay for anything. We think this is the best approach and it means you can make an informed decision.

Smart Home Charge I will definitely be in touch will require a non tethered type as my Kia Soul has a type 1 socket.

Great, we have a new un-tethered unit on the website now called Sync EV or the cheaper Project EV. Both popular choices with EV drivers depending what you are looking for. And yes, you are right to choose an un-thethered, as your next EV is most likley going to be a Type 2 connection.

If I have a smaller consumer unit in my garage, with 6mm cable, can my home charger feed off it? Rather than run cable through the house from the main consumer unit ...

At the site survey stage can we give notes? or speak to the engineer? And when do we apply for the Goverment grant? Is this before the quote?

Hi James, we havent found the need for the customer to add notes. Most people tend to just speak while they are recording. The survey is done in the customers own time with no interation with engineers during the recording. If our engineers need more information, thats is when a call is scheduled with the customer. The Goverment Grant is an is processed after the quote has been accepted and paid. Hope this helps.

@@SmartHomeCharge Thank you. Yes it is when recoding the cable run to the electric that i need to add a note. Great that speaking is done then.
