!!!!Story of A #ShivSainik, an emerging star of #Shivsena from #Thane in the 1980's era and the follower of #Shri.BalasahebThackeray and #DharmaveerAnandDighe. Not only a kind hearted man but also a trustworthy personality.!!!!
Hon. Shri. Eknathji Shinde (Born 9th February, 1964) is the #CabinetMinister of Urban Development and Public Works in the Government of Maharashtra. He has been elected from Kopri-Paanchpakadi, Thane as the #MemberofLegislativeAssembly of Maharashtra consecutively for four terms. For earning livelihood for the family, he had to drop his education at a young age but has resumed his studies and has completed the education till SYBA. While earning money through odd jobs in the early 80’s, he was influenced by the thoughts of the Shivsena Supremo #ShriBalasahebThackeray and #ShriAnandDigheSaheb and joined Shivsena. Every youth in that period who wished to join politics were inspired Shri. Balasaheb Thackeray’s vision. His first step towards success was when he got appointed as the Shakha Pramukh of Kisan Nagar, #Thane. Later through his active participation in the forefront of party’s agitations, he was recognised for his responsibilities and was given the opportunity to contest the elections of Thane Municipal Corporation as a corporator which he won later with huge majority. In 2004 ,he was given the permission for contesting assembly elections for Thane Assembly Constituency by Shri. Balasaheb Thackeray for which he achieved success and the very next year was appointed as Shivsena Thane District Head who became the first district head as well as a MLA. He is assuming the office of the Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra since 2004 and has carried out many developmental tasks.
The list of the tasks performed by him in Office:
1)He raised many important issues concerning the state in general and Thane in particular, the most prominent being The Cluster Development scheme for dilapidated illegal buildings in Thane and MMR, Thane Metro, a New Extended Thane Station between Thane and Mulund, Water Scarcity, coastal security of the state, Modernization of the Police Force, Inflation, increasing debt of the State etc.
2)He organized long march from Thane to #Mantralay on 3 October 2013 and the then Chief Minister #PrithvirajChavhan on the steps of the Assembly, had to announce the cluster development scheme for redevelopment of dilapidated illegal buildings and rehabilitation of lakhs of residents of Thane.
3)The demand for Thane to Mumbai metro project was not sanctioned by the Government. Instead a #PimpriChinchwad,#Pune and #Nagpur project was announced after the success of Mumbai Metro. He opposed this action and forced the government to sanction the permission for Thane metro which gave pace to the Wadala-Ghatkopar-Thane Metro.
4)Important Projects Like #NagpurMumbaiSamruddhiHighway, #Capacity AugmentationofMumbaiPuneExpressWay ,#BandraVersovaSeaLink, #Third CreekBridge at Vashi,
#ThaneBorivaliSubway, Shil-Kalyan Road Expansion, Thane-Ghodbunder Unnat(Elevated) Road.
5) As #GuardianMinister of Thane-
a)Approval of Cluster Development Implementation process started.
b)Approval of new railway station between Thane-Mulund.
c)Wadala-Ghatkopar-Thane Metro.
d)#ThaneCityMetroProject.
e)Kalyan-Thane Mumbai Shipping(Water Transport).
f)Super Specialty Hospital in place of Thane District Hospital.
g)Satis Project at Thane Station East.
h)The widening of the Kopri bridge.
i) Separate dam for Thane district.
j)Additional water reservoirs in the #BaraviDam.
6)Under his leadership Shivsena got power in #ThaneMunicipalCorporation, #KalyanDombivaliMunicipalCorporation, #UlhasnagarMunicipalCorporation, #BhiwandiMunicipalCorporation, #AmbarnathMunicipalCouncil, #Badlapur MunicipalCouncil and was instrumental in winning the Thane Zilla Parishad for the first time for Shivsena.
