Thank you for the video. I am a newbie experiencing RC-202 and your looping and tutorial videos are very helpful. 👍 I would like to ask if you share some "finalization strategies" to use when ending a song smoothly. I generally have a hard time finishing a song. Every ending of my pieces felt like a sudden cut of the phrase and need something like a smooth fade-out effect put at only the very end of the song. I have discovered some formulas so far by digging through the manual (e.g. FILTER -> Eq -> turn the knob down), but not very satisfactory. Keep looping! 🙂 🎤🎧🎹🎸
yes i get you! this is actually a great video idea as well... cus this is the part that takes the most experimenting and practice. but of course there are some smooth tricks you can use. my favourite ending (if you watch my looping videos you will notice them) are to cut off one of the stereo tracks where i often place my beat and bass, followed by adding a low pass filter to the stereo track that is left. then i fade it out with the effect knob or just cut it off completely in the end. makes it way smoother 😊 i have more but hopefully this was some kind of advise!
Nice introduction! But a small mistake has crept in: The small "aux in" on the front is not intended for loudspeakers. This is an additional input for synthesizers or keyboards! It is in 3.5mm mini blade. I have one more question about power generation: Can the device be operated with batteries? And is there a battery compartment? Greetings Tom
hello! might be true that its intended for synth and keyboard and not speakers, thanks for letting me know! but it still works for speakers with aux connection. have tried it myself with my portable JBL speaker😊 its not battery powered unfortunatlely... one feature i miss and would love to see on this device though😅
hello!😀 you can't choose specific layers unfortunately, you can only delete either the last one recorded by selecting the track button followed by hitting the undo/redo button OR deleting the entire track by dubbel tapping the stop button.
oh sorry about that! it can be a bit of a hazzle to get started. when it comes to the daw, they work basically the same when it comes to setup with midi, but they use different kind of settings. i would look into similar youtube videos explaining midi configuration with devices in logic. about the launch pad i have zero experience with that, but as far as im concerned, it works like any controller with your daw☺ its all about getting the settings right in the chain and then in your daw.
Hey, amazing tutorial thank you, how do you loop the minilab in the loopstation? I see the output going to your mixer, but how is the looper getting the input?
Could you do a video with the settings that you use personally? I find myself always playing in there and still haven’t got it quite right (acoustic player) thank you for what you do 🙏
Amazing video!! I would like to know the names of the other equipments, like the foot switch, keyboard… and also, which program should I have in the computer to manage all this?
hello! thank you🥹🫶🏻 of course!!🫗⭐️ watch this video where i explain every piece in my setup: th-cam.com/video/-1UnrQ6rP_4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xV84dXmXdY8Tbs3F
I am trying to get my head around the the audio routing... So the daw (vst's) feeds into the looper but you can only record the master output of the RC via the mixer? So the device won't multi-track? If the rc doesn't multi track then that's a major flaw tbh..
is it possible to set a lead in time for "prerecording"? eg. press record 4 beats/1 bar before it actually starts recording. so that you can get setup/settled on your instrument/mentally prepare before recording actually begins? Or set it so that recording starts at the next "one"/ first beat of the next loop? I don't want recording to begin the moment I hit the button or foot pedal.
say if youre using 4/4 time and you want to lay down a 1 bar loop. if you press record after the 1/4 it will wont start recording until the entire loop have played. i use this a lot to "mentally prepare" like you describe it. record always starts at the beginning of a loop and i imagine this is well thought out in making of this loopstation.
that sounds like no fun and really odd!! honestly, it can be a lot of reasons why and its really hard to say. ive never experienced this before. ill definitely get back if i would figure it out😊🙏
@@MVNDA So what do you create the rhythms with, with a separate machine? I would like to do something like: 10:51. I have a few days with the looper, but I still can't understand that part 😁
@@DrAlprosound115 oh yeah i get what you mean :) the beat is made by using a instrument VST (anyone goes that has a sound library in your daw) i often use Air Xpand2 or Air BOOM that comes with pro tools to create beats and rhytms. and then i play them using the midi controller during looping. the only gear is the ones shown in this video!
Thank you so much for this in-depth tutorial and review.. I love seeing fellow female producers do thier thing! If you ever get your hands on the RC-505 I would love to here your input about it and comparison! Also what foot pedal are you using for your guitar and software on your mac thanks.. I know you may talk about that in your "2023 version coming soon" however thanks!

sorry, i didn't understand when you said you put the rc202 output on the audio interface, but you use the arturia minilab in the pc too? so you record de audio using the usb cable from the boss rc202 or from the audio interface?
Hey, thank u so much for this video! Amazing! I have been using Kaos Pad, and in it you can apply some effects to what u have already recorded and then you can re record it to another track, now with the effects. Is it possible with the rc 202? 💌
theres a function working with the internal memory of the looper to setup different segments while playing🤗 boss themselves are explaining how to work with memory/write in the boss rc 202 in this video: th-cam.com/video/PrbHeDlMQGs/w-d-xo.html
if i dont use the usb my computer wont be able to detect the loop station in my daw, to be able to use it as the playback engine. its also for loading samples in and out. the outputs have nothing to do with the software connection really. i could use the usb only and skip the stereo outputs. then i could use the loop station with my midi keyboard and the daws vsts, but i couldnt record my performance. in other words they have their own functions🤗
@@MVNDA thanks your the best. Btw was also curious. Can you plug in a guitar and synth to the 202 at the same time? I have a keyboard with an out to 1/4 “. I know it worked with the “instrument” input. But if that’s taken…where would you plug in the guitar 🎸
@@JesseFragale no unfortunately you cant, not like that anyway. one way to get around it is to add a small mixer with loads of inputs to plug in multiple instruments and then send the mixer output to the loop station👌 or if you feel frisky, invest in the BOSS RC 505 MK2! it got loads of inputs🤗
@@MVNDA I had a feeling you would say that!! Lol I do have a little Roland Go Mixer Pro x. I think that might work on that. So you would send mixer to which input on rc202?
@@JesseFragale th-cam.com/video/_V5YoJWbHhw/w-d-xo.html the looping legend himself uses his mixer and connects it with aux in the looper. but i think you could use stereo left/right from mixer to a quarter inch too
Thanks for one of the better shows Manda! 😀👍 For the educational better views that are largely missing here on the web. Really like what you're up to and how you come up with it. Your music is lovely to listen to and who knows, maybe later we will ask for your autograph. Continue this fine gift you have. Don't know if you previously described which pedal you use, but I'll ask anyway. Is it Roland or Boss?
thank you so much that makes me really happy. i simply like to make videos that i would enjoy watching myself! i also feel theres these kinds of videos missing in my niche, and to be honest only dudes are making them😂 this boss pedal is the only one ive ever used when looping, for these two years😊🙌
Thank you for this very clear review ! Just a question : is it possible to select and delete specific layers? Like if I record 3 layers and choose to mute or delete the second for exemple is it possible? Thanks
Very helpful. I'm a noob insofar as home recording & related/needed gear are concerned. I'm paraplegic and have been looking a way to loop with my acoustic guitar since I can't use pedals and the rc 202 seems like a good fit. Can you make multiple loops within one loop button? As someone who has only played an acoustic guitar that's plugged straight into an amp, connecting things correctly (the 202, guitar, mic, mini keyboard etc. is intimidating. Your video gets me one step closer to the home recording world which I hope I can get some of it down by the time I'm joined by another tech challenged friend to lay down some tracks.
oh yes you can loop at least 60 (dont remember the exact amount) loops per channel so that over 120 loops in total and i promise you that you will never use that many😂
hello! sounds like a lot of fun🥳 well theres is no suits all "best" setup id say. but if your looking into the boss series id definitely go for the RC 505 since the 202 is not ideal for live performances on stage like that. its simply a little to limited in terms of flexibilty in functions, audio levels and so on. the 202 is perfect on the go for studio jamming/recording or very simple performances where there are actual room for errors and second takes😊🙌
Hi, im trying to sync the 202 with the keystep pro, with the 202 as master, but after loop recording the tempo changes, messing with the all ksp sequences. how can i make the 202 tempo be 'freezed” to no change in any case?
im not completely sure what you mean here but if you want to set the tempo from 3.4 to 4.4 for example throughout the track to record, the setting is found in the rythm settings😊
Very professional instructional vid 😀👍 This will help a lot of people. What does the USB connection to the computer do? Does it allow you to transfer loops?
thank you so much! just happy to help out🙏🙌 the usb is basically for talking to the computer. the looper works as a stand alone pedal without the usb, but if you want to use it in your daw or loading samples in and out to your computer for example, the usb is essential😊
no you can't use the rc-202 as an interface in the way you would with a normal interface. surely you can record in the loop station and save down your tracks in the loop station itself, but you would then have to usb connect it to a computer to be able to transfer the files (i have never tried this). if you find the need to record loops without an interface i would invest in a handy recorder and record straight into that! like a zoom or a tascam.
Hi MVNDA Finally a decent tutorial about this looper. Super thanks! I recently bought one because I want to further explore my beatbox with it. But then... My girlfriend still had a decent synthesizer in the attic and I made the connection with the looper... I realize its added value, but also my limitations in the field of music and piano playing. Last year I enrolled in the local academy to learn (classical) piano and music theory. As a result, I now also have a digital piano from Kawai. Now, after a year, I want to go back to the looper and start recording (basis stuff offcourse). I finally get to my question, sorry for the long intro. :) What do I need to record? What software do you recommend? I'm totally looking for a clear answer here. Can you help?
This inspired me to go and get one. eBay is delivering it this week! ;) I don't move around much. I would have been happy to get the 505 but the cost was too much. I can guarantee I'll be looking at all your videos.
🥺thats so cool!! congrats, its really money worth spent. it was the exact same for me, the 505 felt a little bit to pricey at the time. its such a great tool to practice with for years. the day you feel ready to upgrade you will know! good luck!! and thanks for the sub i really appreciate it. i hope i can give you inspiration over time🧡🌈
Hello Thank you for the video, I have a question : I have RC505 and minilab 3, how can I synchronize both to do loops with minilab 3 ? Should I use a software?? (ableton) Midi ?? Thank you !!!
Hello! This video was very helpful! I just have one question, can you turn down the sound of everything inside of the loop station? It’s very loud so I can’t have both of my headphones on when I’m recording. Thanks!
How can I stream the audio to my android phone without using a computer? Cause the manual doesn't say if it supports OTG. There is also another way using a trrs adapter, but I am trying to send the audio from the looper directly to my phone for simple social media videos.
If you had to go back and buy a loop pedal all over again, and if the form factor wasn’t a issue. Would u choose the 505? I’m just wondering if you’ve ever felt limited???
honestly ive definitly felt limited at times! i dont regret the 202 at all because i learned looping together with it and have suited my needs in my studio space. but if i had the knowledge i do now and wanted to have more options and freedom when creating id go for the 505. id love to own both of them because theyre good for different things.
Thank you for this! Do you know if it's possible to assign each input to a track on the 202? So track 1 would record only the stereo input, and track 2 only the mic? Thanks!
So are you using a DAW to input your mini lab into the looper? I’ve just been using it as a stand alone with just my monologue, but since the mini lab doesn’t have anything without the software, how are you running it?
I missed it, how do you loop software from your controllers? I’m a guitarist, but I just ordered an Arturia Keylab to trigger software, I run Logic, I’m new to all this
hello😊🙏 well its all in a chain and the trick is to run your daw when looping. the minilab is simply connected in the computer and triggered by the vsts, in your case, in logic. and the playback engine must be rooted to your looper inside logic. that way you can use the controller even though its not even connected into the looper.
the effects chain is starting with the guitar, then connected through: tuner - compressor - phaser - delay/reverb - and then lastly the quarter inch cable goes into the jack in the back of the RC-202😊🎸
Hi. Thanks for the vid. I have 6 percussion instruments I'd like to loop so I can play a 7th instrument along with the loop. Could I use the 202 for this, or are there not enough channels? Would I need the 505? Thanks.
Thx much. Exceedingly helpful. I’m paraplegic and play a bit of guitar so obviously can’t use foot pedals so am excited about being able to loop with this. That said I was recently gifted a Evo 4 audio interface and am new to using it or frankly anything other than just playing an acoustic guitar (and an occasional electric) so am completely unfamiliar with all things electronic insofar as guitar & recording & looping are concerned In short, how does an audio interface connect to the rc202…or can it…or does it take the place of the rc202? Lastly I only have an iPad so can I connect the 202 to it?
so happy to help!🙏 i understand, im sorry. but you seem to have even stronger will power. go you👊 im explaining the connections between looper and interface in this very video at 06:15. ive seen users use ipads for looping with a usb c to usb adapter to suit the looper. but im not very good with ipads so i suggest you look for other users using this method.
I had to laugh when you said that "I like gear... maybe this is what a parent feels like".... I am a parent and we feel a little stronger to our kids... but just a little... I too love gear... thanks for the run through, as I have this pedal and have not given it enough time...but I will now!
this was really a good video i was looking for such a video for last few years Last 12 months i stopped searching for it after watching your video i feel you can guide people like me little bit more on this! Please ! Like Me means - who are new in looping (Specially using this particular device) Every creator using this gear is either saying 'YOU CAN GET REALLY CREATIVE WITH THIS, THERE ARE ENDLESS POSSIBILITY' or 'SHOWING WHAT THEY PERFORM USING THIS' but basic guy like me is getting hangged in the first step only would love to see few of your Live looping videos (if possible with Explanation like this video about what did you click and which sound came from where) after seeing your 4-5 videos we beginners may get motivation and yes We would love to see you making mistakes as well its like I want to see you perform without cuts so that we get to know about the natural mistakes that way its easy for you to create videos as there are less video edit effects needed. Thank you for putting such lovely content on the internet :) More Power to you 😇
this is actually super awesome feedback!! love to hear it from your point of view🙏 ill bring this with me since i believe there are more feeling like you do. thanks!
Hey Manda, Thank you so much for the tutorial. I got the RC-202 for my birthday and I am very excited but clueless haha. Could you please tell me how you connecter the Arturia to the looper? Is it through DAW or is there a direct way? Thank you 💜
hello😍 im only happy to help you out! happy birthday! thats one heck of a birthday gift🥳the midi keyboard is connected to my computer with usb. i use my daw to create custom sounds together with the loop pedal during looping. its not possible to connect it straight to the looper. if you need more inspiration with the entire setup for looping you can watch this additional video where i talk about all the gear and connection for a performance: th-cam.com/video/-1UnrQ6rP_4/w-d-xo.html good luck!🧡🥳
i use no additional cables than showed in this video. the arturia is plugged in to the computer with a usb. then you have to route the signal in your daw. this video might help😊 th-cam.com/video/hPz0W5iPczg/w-d-xo.html
Thx for your tutorial! I already baught a RC 202 and after two sessions I get used to it more and more. An amazing tool. But I have one question: did you manage or do you know how to "build" a song with more than two different sections? I know that I can go to memory during the live performance and open tracks I recorded earlier (during the same session), but what if I want to keep my percussion for part A and part B? Is it simply not possible and I need either the RC 505 with 5 tracks or a DAW like Ableton for that kind of stuff?
for advanced arrangements with lots of variety the 505 if definitely better, but would then prefer working with tools like Ableton Push or similar with sampled sections. myself rarely work like that because i have the 202. i like to go crazy with the FX to mix things up and give the illusion of variety.
@@MVNDA Thank you for your honest answer! I have know seen a couple of videos with the 505 that I now know, that I probably should have bought this instead, if I don't want workarounds like another small looper or an (expensive) controller like the mentioned Ableton Push, or even a software/PC solution, which could replace the 202 anyways. At least I know what my christmas gift to myself will be, this year, if I stay ambitious. The 202 will be my training tool so far =)
Hey! Love to see that! I love your music content so much! I have a question - is there any chance to do arturia minilab tutorial by you? I get my arturia today and I have no clue what I should set in software and how to use it in a best way (like analog lab and midi controler center). Please help with this ❤
@@MVNDA the thing with Arturia - this keys has not so good manual explanation. Like - my pads are related to notes. Ok. But how it affects me when i changed this to something else and how am i put drums into pads in the first place ;P Im just confused and helpless but im trying ;P Im waiting for your explenation :) Im sure u could do this in way that will be easier for anyone having this great thing :)
Hi Manda, thanks for the review and tutorial. I am thinking about buying a loop station - debating between 202 and 505 - for looping crystal singing bowls, vocals, flutes, guitar and shakers. Do you think the 202 would be limiting for the amount of tracks needed? Would it be a good station to learn on to progress to the 505? Thanks for your input and time.
if you are already aiming for loads of different layering of instruments i would go for the 505 at an instance. also with the 505 you can adjust the volume levels of each track after recording, which you cant with 202😊🙏
@@MVNDA Is there much noise connecting the usb or did you habe to do anything to stop it. I find usb creates noise but I'm usually trying to use it for MIDI/data. The noise bleeds into audio though.
@@EarJuice hmm its not supposed to be noisy! could have to do with a bad cable or other hardware problem. have you run any tests to try to locate where the noise is coming from?
i know that its possible to use an ipad since ive seen other youtubers use it! have no experience with using it with a phone though. maybe its possible😊
nope they wont quantize! BUT the loop play and pause will correct to a perfect transition even if you end a loop a little bit off beat. but as always with looping theres practice involved to play your instruments on the beat🙌😊
Hello Mvnda! I actively stopped using my RC202 just because I am basically not able to hit the stop record button exactly on time so that I get for example a clean 4/4 rhythm bar; there is always a tiny bit too long recorded or too less; also when recording a second layer or smth new on the track 2 - then they don't fit - I desperately do the same recording so often till it fits - so annoying. Is there anything I do wrong or forgot any function? Or perhaps disenabled a sync mode or smth? Any helpful advice is much appreciated!
wow that sounds like no fun! ive actually never experienced the 202 being out of sync, only the opposite that its really smooth when syncing. sounds like it could maybe be a setting issue. im afraid i dont have the knowledge what it could be since ive never had to do it before but you would find that setting in the RC-202 users manual🙏😊
Nice breakdown, nice playing too, the background music is too loud for my tastes. I do think it’s much more fun to loop on hardware as opposed to a tablette or computer, you can just plug your guitar in that way without too much fiddling around.
thanks for the great tutorial ♡ but i have a question, so what is the difference of having two stereo tracks instead of just adding one over another? is it so you can easier manipulate each track individually? and does this limit you in the layers you can record on top of each other? thanks so much xoxo
Really great tutorial 😍 I always wondered how one of those works. Is it easy to record to the DAW while loading samples/synths at the same time or is it quite heavy on CPU?
thank you so much my friend really appreciate that🙏 well frankly, it all comes down to the cpu. ive actually started to experience some issues after two years with my M1 unfortunatly. it can definitly be heavy with too many plugins but by cutting down on them and lowering the buffer size often does the trick🤭
i use pro tools as my daw! if you mean loud speakers i do not use any at all. i only record straight into my daw though my interface (my computer is a 2020 M1 macbook pro) or practice/play through headphones😊🎧🙌
@@yutaka_too_much no problem! i mean i wished there was quantize, some parts are frustrating to record on the beat😂 but the recording cycles are always on time so thats a good thing🙏 thats cool, have a great one🧡
I want to make loops to play with my synth , would you recommend the 202 or 505? It is basically 2 vs 5 loop tracks correct? With the 202 how many types of layering can you apply on 1 track?
if youre looking to play around the 202 is more than enough. im not sure but it has over 60 tracks per channel. for more advanced arrangements with more variety and optimal for live performances the 505 is the way to go😊
@@mpix00 partly because 505 got separate volume controls for each track (202 doesnt) and also because there are more channels to work with. makes performances easier.

hello thank you! the minilab is connected to the laptop. then i send the sound from plugins in the daw into the looper🎹😊
Could you do a video with the settings that you use personally? I find myself always playing in there and still haven’t got it quite right (acoustic player) thank you for what you do 🙏
thats a great idea! im taking that with me😊🙋
Amazing video!! I would like to know the names of the other equipments, like the foot switch, keyboard… and also, which program should I have in the computer to manage all this?

I am trying to get my head around the the audio routing...
So the daw (vst's) feeds into the looper but you can only record the master output of the RC via the mixer? So the device won't multi-track?
If the rc doesn't multi track then that's a major flaw tbh..
Hi! Please tell me how to set up "double-click track deletion"?? This is easy to do on 505 and 505 mk2.....and in 202 it is unclear how?
is it possible to set a lead in time for "prerecording"? eg. press record 4 beats/1 bar before it actually starts recording. so that you can get setup/settled on your instrument/mentally prepare before recording actually begins?
Or set it so that recording starts at the next "one"/ first beat of the next loop?
I don't want recording to begin the moment I hit the button or foot pedal.
say if youre using 4/4 time and you want to lay down a 1 bar loop. if you press record after the 1/4 it will wont start recording until the entire loop have played. i use this a lot to "mentally prepare" like you describe it. record always starts at the beginning of a loop and i imagine this is well thought out in making of this loopstation.
thanks!!! I have one problem. I cant manage to hear the instruments and voice, I can only hear it once I record, how do i make it?
that sounds like no fun and really odd!! honestly, it can be a lot of reasons why and its really hard to say. ive never experienced this before. ill definitely get back if i would figure it out😊🙏
Greetings, how do you record the rhythms to apply the effects, do. you record them with the daw or. are the ones that the looper brings. by default?.
all sound coming into the looper is coming from either line in (vocals or instrument) or digitally in daw. nothing is default😄

Can u connect a keyboard, guitar, and vocals all at once. For example L/mono keys, R guitar, then vocals? Thanks so much!

How do you change the time signature? How to change from 4/4 to 3/4?

How do you use a looper to create different segments of a song like verse/chorus? I don’t make music that has a single backing rhythm or instrument

If your left and right outputs are taking the sound to your (mixer then computer) what’s the usb input use for?
if i dont use the usb my computer wont be able to detect the loop station in my daw, to be able to use it as the playback engine. its also for loading samples in and out. the outputs have nothing to do with the software connection really. i could use the usb only and skip the stereo outputs. then i could use the loop station with my midi keyboard and the daws vsts, but i couldnt record my performance. in other words they have their own functions🤗

Very helpful. I'm a noob insofar as home recording & related/needed gear are concerned. I'm paraplegic and have been looking a way to loop with my acoustic guitar since I can't use pedals and the rc 202 seems like a good fit. Can you make multiple loops within one loop button? As someone who has only played an acoustic guitar that's plugged straight into an amp, connecting things correctly (the 202, guitar, mic, mini keyboard etc. is intimidating. Your video gets me one step closer to the home recording world which I hope I can get some of it down by the time I'm joined by another tech challenged friend to lay down some tracks.
oh yes you can loop at least 60 (dont remember the exact amount) loops per channel so that over 120 loops in total and i promise you that you will never use that many😂
Hi, i'm looking to do live loop on the fly to live audeinces. Any suggestions as to the best portable set up? I use and android phone and windows PC.
hello! sounds like a lot of fun🥳 well theres is no suits all "best" setup id say. but if your looking into the boss series id definitely go for the RC 505 since the 202 is not ideal for live performances on stage like that. its simply a little to limited in terms of flexibilty in functions, audio levels and so on. the 202 is perfect on the go for studio jamming/recording or very simple performances where there are actual room for errors and second takes😊🙌
Can you save an effect to a specific bank? When I save an effect, it saves it to all the banks.
good question! i never save them, i use the built in ones everytime. i dont know actually🙊😄
Hey there. Great vid. What pedal did you use to trigger the looping please ?

Hello! Please I would like to know why you use the usb mixer
Quick question can you use this as an audio interface. So I can record what I hear in windows to a pad to loop. Thanks
no you can't use the rc-202 as an interface in the way you would with a normal interface. surely you can record in the loop station and save down your tracks in the loop station itself, but you would then have to usb connect it to a computer to be able to transfer the files (i have never tried this). if you find the need to record loops without an interface i would invest in a handy recorder and record straight into that! like a zoom or a tascam.
I’ve found it works fine as an interface
Hi, after recording and playing back the initial loop, can a longer loop be recorded on the other track?
the two stereo tracks are seperated so one of them could have a short loop and the other one infinity long if you want, correct!😁👌
Hi MVNDA
Finally a decent tutorial about this looper.
What do I need to record? What software do you recommend? I'm totally looking for a clear answer here. Can you help?
This inspired me to go and get one. eBay is delivering it this week! ;)
I don't move around much.

There is also another way using a trrs adapter, but I am trying to send the audio from the looper directly to my phone for simple social media videos.
Hey thank you for this tutorial. Are you using a separate guitar pedal or directly into the rc202?
the guitar pedals are part of the chain and goes straight into the loop station, thats correct 😊
Can you show me ?I ask this only because I am not sure if I am hooking my pedal up correctly, due to the fact I'm hearing alot buzz. Arrgg
So it has 2 stereo tracks but I assume I could layer a few more things over each track?
yes correct you have plenty of layers (i think over 60 something on each stereo track)🥳

So are you using a DAW to input your mini lab into the looper? I’ve just been using it as a stand alone with just my monologue, but since the mini lab doesn’t have anything without the software, how are you running it?
yes correct! it doesnt work stand alone😊 i connect it to the laptop and use my daw to use custom sounds👌
How do you configure the rc to detect your tempo?
i manually set the tempo in the rc to match my daw😊 dont know how to detect the tempo but im guessing there is midi involved!
@@MVNDA thanks for respond me , if you discover how let me know , sometimes I want the rc just with my guitar no daw , like random pedal looper
How do you add your effect pedals?
the effects chain is starting with the guitar, then connected through: tuner - compressor - phaser - delay/reverb - and then lastly the quarter inch cable goes into the jack in the back of the RC-202😊🎸
Hi. Thanks for the vid.

That said I was recently gifted a Evo 4 audio interface and am new to using it or frankly anything other than just playing an acoustic guitar (and an occasional electric) so am completely unfamiliar with all things electronic insofar as guitar & recording & looping are concerned
In short, how does an audio interface connect to the rc202…or can it…or does it take the place of the rc202? Lastly I only have an iPad so can I connect the 202 to it?
so happy to help!🙏 i understand, im sorry. but you seem to have even stronger will power. go you👊 im explaining the connections between looper and interface in this very video at 06:15. ive seen users use ipads for looping with a usb c to usb adapter to suit the looper. but im not very good with ipads so i suggest you look for other users using this method.

Do you think the 202 would be limiting for the amount of tracks needed? Would it be a good station to learn on to progress to the 505? Thanks for your input and time.

@@MVNDA alright, thanks for coming back to me anyways 👍🏻 Greetings~
Nice breakdown, nice playing too, the background music is too loud for my tastes. I do think it’s much more fun to loop on hardware as opposed to a tablette or computer, you can just plug your guitar in that way without too much fiddling around.
thanks for the great tutorial ♡ but i have a question, so what is the difference of having two stereo tracks instead of just adding one over another? is it so you can easier manipulate each track individually? and does this limit you in the layers you can record on top of each other? thanks so much xoxo
if you want to make a sound shush but all the others are in the same track they will all shush. Same with the sound effects

What software do you use? And do you go from PC to external monitor?

thats not possible on the RC 202 unfortunatly. the RC 505 has volume controls on each track. a feature i would love in the 202 too..
I want to make loops to play with my synth , would you recommend the 202 or 505? It is basically 2 vs 5 loop tracks correct? With the 202 how many types of layering can you apply on 1 track?
if youre looking to play around the 202 is more than enough. im not sure but it has over 60 tracks per channel. for more advanced arrangements with more variety and optimal for live performances the 505 is the way to go😊
@MVNDA How does the 505 excel for Live performances over the 202?
@@mpix00 partly because 505 got separate volume controls for each track (202 doesnt) and also because there are more channels to work with. makes performances easier.
