I got the impression that Tulsi was actually on Trump's "long list" for VP picks. From what others in his inner circles were saying back in the early Spring, there were talks between Trump and Tulsi. I think the only reason she didn't make the short list is because she's too fresh out of the Dem party for some Republican voters and is now a registered Independent, not a Republican. I don't know if she'll ever go fully to the right, because she still holds some more liberal social views that might not jive with the more conservative/Christian voters, but she's changed her way of thinking about some really important policy issues and that's a great start. I like her a lot and I do think she's got a promising political career ahead of her. She might very well end up in a Trump cabinet position or somewhere in his administration, which could definitely be an important stepping stone for her. I think a lot of us are going to be watching her closely in the next few years.
