  • Faster, stronger, better...poorer? We all wish our rides were better than stock, but in Singapore you have to be careful of what you slap onto your wheels. What can’t you ‘zhng’? We bring you a list of things you shouldn’t do to your cars unless you wanna dance with the LTA - and not in a TikTok way.

What about roof chops, sectioning, channelling or a two door stretch? Especially when you’re doing something nice, like a 1940 Ford as a 1940s taildragger? What if you want to build your own, is there anything akin to the Individual Vehicle Assessment we have in England?

By our guess, all that stuff would be totally out of the question. When in doubt use the Singapore maxim: Anything that's explicitly legal is probably illegal!

I know the civic type R can mod the steering wheel and wheels rims can all same brands good idea?

Wheels are an allowed mod, as long as (if we remember) you don't exceed the wheelarch. We'd be cautious about changing steering wheels though, as you may lose airbag functionality.

I don't think they will put you in jail for changing your wheels. But if you do enough illegal mods they will (eventually) put you in jail hahaha

I planning to go to Singapore with my wife. But the car I already put tinted, change exhaust and sport rim & tire. Is it okay to enter Singapore?

If your car isn't Singapore registered you should be fine :)

    Methanol injection ok?

Actually...that's a really good question. Methanol or water injection could be considered an intake modification. But knowing the LTA we think the answer is 'NO'.
