I would vote for Gunok. It was a bouncy wet ball , and hit from closer distance (less reaction time). Bank travelled more distance though.

I’d say it was a good save, I wouldn’t put it anywhere near Banks, Schmeichel (Vienna), Seaman (Shef Utd), De Gea (Arsenal, Sunderland), i could go on etc etc. Good but not near the best for me

At the other end of the scale, Sarbitzer's corners were absolutely shocking. There's a reason why even pre-Ineos Manchester United didn't want to sign him. A completely overrated player and lightweight.
So what a Turk supports Turkey? Why so confrontational? We have 2nd and 3rd generation englishmen in the US who only follow PL and 3 Lions. They propably didn't watch a minute of the Copa America but stood up all night to watch England. They'd support the US against anyone else, of course, but never against England. So before judging a Cypriot who grew up in London, just imagine you moving to another country and raising your children there. Would it be wrong for your kids to support England then?

Gordon's save was good but nowhere near Gunok's save. If Pele had not been in the equation, nobody would even remember it. :))
Great save by Gunok 👏 but for myself Gordon Banks all day long , as Banks was further away on his line & the ball was right into the corner , for me its GB 👐👍

Banks 1970 WC save every time.
Banks had to change direction to dive and save that Pele’s direct header. For Gunok, the ball was headed into the ground, therefore, he only had to dive in one clear direction to the right. The reflex action for both saves were outstanding, but for Banks, to change direction and dive and make that save was extraordinary. Super human reflexes.
Metin was also changing directions.

Banks' save has always been overrated. It only gets hyped 'cos it was against Pele in a World Cup!
Last night's save will be the save of the tournament and one of the greatest ever maybe, but Banks' save was better because the ball was further away from him when dived for it and the ball was traveling faster. In my opinion anyway.

I've seen plenty of better saves than the one tonight.
It was a VERY good save, but if we're comparing it to ALL TIME saves it isn't on that level.
Massive time to do it, but the ball bounced, it was a good height to be saved, just to the side of the keeper.

it was an incredible save, but sorry Pele vs Banks 70 was the best in the world against each other. That is simply still number 1.
