Hey. Quick tip from someone who had moved to a house with tree sized weeds.... Let them be until February or so. They will die naturally and in February you just easily pluck them. Buy some radiator pipe and put them around the tree trunks making streaming the garden easy without damaging the trees, until the trees are big enough. From february onwards just pluck the new weeds regularly as they come out.

@@mimidee100 you are welcome. That's how I got rid of mines. It is weed free now with very little effort. Not long until the seasons change and the weeds won't be an eyesore anymore.
Tip from someone that loves gardening. Wet the ground. It is way easier too remove weeds. One of my old clients used to water her garden before I arrived so I could de weed her who garden in 2 hours lol
Totally agree, I always weed after it’s rained a ton. I’ve also been known to weed in the rain, much easier. I swear they are less prickly when wet too.

Your eyes could be watering from all the weeding in the garden recently.
Plant widflowers in a strip along your fence. That way it's not taking up the garden, but they have a space

I think after reading the comments, I'm going to look into planting a few wildflowers but then keep an eye on them and don't let them grow taller than me 😂

@@jazzybvlogs before you plant wild flowers, research what is native to your area. Native plants ate best for pollinators.
Those red poppies are planted for a reason, to keep the moisture in the ground and food for the bees, now your garden is empty and the trees can get really dry and die. You should have gotten big garden scissors and cut the hay weeds and leave the poppies. Good vlog of this and that otherwise.

@@jazzybvlogs You could plant clover, much easier to maintain and bees love them too and they keep the moisture even better. Check some videos from yt about clover instead of grass, they have good tips in them. Have a lovely time gardening you both ❤

Your reactions each time the drill went through the door are everything 😂 I am not a gardener at all and spent hours pulling weeds before our big green waste collection and my upper arms and my legs were so sore afterwards so I feel your pain!

I don't recall ever drilling a hole before in my life! So the fact it was straight and the two screws lined up... I mean, I felt like a handyman in training 😂

The door pulls were great, like you found online there is a "zone" for them, but where they go is personal preference. I understand you being scared about drilling the holes, if you ask a cabinet guy what part scares them the most normally it is drilling the holes for the pulls, so for your first time you did it beautifully ❤

The drinks are a raspberry bubble frap and the pink lemonade is just strawberry sauce, lemonade syrup (really sweet) and water. you have to give it a really really good mix
I'm in the same position as you this week! I have had to spend the past few weeks re-grading, landscape fabric-ing and putting mulch down in my front and back yards. I TOTALLY get the ice pack situation!!!! 😂

I used to work for an eye dr. When your eyes are watering a lot, usually they’re dry and working overtime to lubricate your eyes. So use artificial lubricating tears when you don’t have your contacts in ( if I remember correctly, you wear those?). When you have the contacts in there’s another kind that’s safe for those. Just don’t use something like Visibe- if that exists over there. Artificial and lubricating are the key words. There’s also allergy eye drops, and since you were weeding, that could be an issue too. ❤

Trees can be weeds too! Trees will send out seeds the same way a weed will and will plant itself wherever it wants.
You really need to use a fork to loosen the soil, it will be so much easier. Not sure about keeping the hawthorns though? They grow insanely fast!
Gardening tip: use a trowel or pitchfork to loosen the soil before pulling the weeds. The plants will slide out much easier.
Hey Jasmine, loved the vlog, it would be way easier for you if you watered the ground or waited for rain as then weeds come out much easier. I'm thinking somebody planted the poppies and wildflowers esp for the bees. Personally I wouldn't shake soil off any weed as you risk spreading more back in. Also try to always get the full root (easier said that done tho I know with some of the pesky ones lol) as you'd be amazed how quickly they come back. You did make me smile with your ice pack arms, continue enjoying your home. Look after yourselves ❤

My eyes do the exact same thing. I got some moisturizing eyedrops and it makes a world of difference. Please try it, I hope it helps you as much as it does me. ❤
Water your yard for a few days, then pull the weeds. Comes out so much easier.
Weeds will usually adapt, so if they are cut regularly they’ll stop growing super tall hoping to preserve themself

Birds drop seeds and the wind carry’s them, also this wet weather is making my weeds grow like crazy, once u get it done staying on top of it is a lot easier ❤

For the Earrings just add a piece of tape to the back of your ear and then put in the earring 💡
Sun Cream shouldn't be kept in the car as far as I know as it should stay under a certain temperature but I could be wrong.

You should grab some resolva weed killer. You can get one which does weeds only. I think it’s green, I think the blue one just kills everything. We use that on our flower beds. Spray it and go back in a couple of days and pull anything that’s brown. Anything green isn’t a weed. My husband buys it for me as I usually leave some weeds as they are pretty 😂. But they do kill the other flowers so they do need to go.

Eyedrops! I had watery eyes all the time. And it can be from airco, heyfever or just too dry eyes....strangely enough. Since I use eyedrops for watery and itchy eyes, the tears are mostly gone.

Allergy eye drops could help with the watering eyes. I get really bad allergy eyes every spring.

My eyes does this. I got told I have dry eyes and I have to use drops. It's horrendous when I use makeup. I can't wear eyeliner anymore. Also gets worse if I use any powder around my eyes too

If you put on a pair of washing up gloves under your gardening gloves it will keep the thistle from poking your hands as much.

As an American, when I saw the expiry date on the quiche written as 04/07/2024, rather than 07/04/2024 (like we do in the US) I have to stop and remember that's how it's done there and it wasn't actually expired by 3 months lol

People will get all excited to buy and plant packages of wildflowers, they are weeds that bloom but are weeds. So your wildflowers come up smack dab in the middle of a bunch of weeds that don’t bloom just spread. The wildflowers are weeds too they just bloom lol

My eye water like that from hay-fever and suncream draws it into ur eyes so try keep suncream away from your eyes as much as possoble

Unpopular opinion though, I thought the "weeds" looked pretty 😂.... also weeds are just any flower in a place they aren't wanted
They looked so pretty!!! Especially when the poppies bloomed, I thought it was beautiful! That's why we initially left them, we thought they were there on purpose! But they were taller than the trees and potentially stealing the nutrients and light from the trees so we needed to get them gone! 😊
What type of trees are you going to have?? There looks like a lot of them

I wonder if someone purposely planted the wildflowers for the bees we have areas in our estate that look a bit wild but they’re specifically for the bees!
I think after reading some of these comments, we may replants a couple of wildflowers BUT manageable ones! The ones we had went SO far out of control!! 😂 They were almost the same height as me!
And we definitely had more weeds than we did wildflowers! Lots of wheatgrass type things and thistles!!
