I agree with some scenes are “forcing” to be sad and tears. I feel the sadness but not enough for us to cry. But there are some scenes worth to be cried, like when Sang Hyeon’s daughter ignores his father’s love and asks him not to contact her anymore. This movie has a mix random feeling, funny, sad, happy, confusing and bittersweet. The last but not least, there’s a reason why this is a Cannes movie 🖤
It was a fantastic ending cuz we all wanted something big revealed or something big to happen but we didn't get any just like real life, as always Song Kang-Ho never fails, he always delivers great performance 👏 the message was loud and clear, overall 9/10.
To bad you don’t like tear jerkers I like them because I have a hard time sleeping and need to cry some day I hope you find it’s equally manly to cry as it is to beat the shit out of mother fuckers tough guy good review
@@dornravlin you like tear jerkers? You should check out Hachi, good will hunting, big fish, Logan, brokeback mountain, dead poet society, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind..
Can I ask about Sang Hyoen’s ending? I’m not too sure what happened to him. Did he kill the gangster and run away with 40 mil? That wasn’t well explained in the movie.
They said 40 million was found with the body at the murder scene. And at the end, we can see a laundry van hinting that dongsu and sanghyun are still together
@@hamdan4600 i have a question too, because my subtitles were wrong at some moments. Was Soyoung in prison or not? The subtitles were really not well translated...
@@bojimihaleva2190 So young was in prison. She turned herself in to the police on the condition that Doona takes care of woosung in her absence. The ending where we see SoYoung out and working is after she has served time in prison.
It's a little complicated, but my interpretation is the two brokers knew she was working with the police and they knew that the only way she could get a lighter sentence was if the detectives could arrest the brokers in the middle of the transition. So the younger broker showed up at the transaction with the couple knowing the police were waiting to arrest him. And the older broker killed the mobster because he wanted the girl to be able to raise the child without constantly being harassed and threatened because the baby's father's mother would never give up on trying to get the baby, the older broker didn't even take the money from the monster after he killed him making it a pure and selfless act. So the ending was about how everyone gave up their lives for the girl and her baby. The older broker will probably get caught and sent to jail for murder and the younger broker will be sent to prison for human trafficking and even the two detectives got demoted. It was all done so the girl would be able to get a shorter sentence and one day be able to raise her child. It was about selflessness. Self centered greedy people learning to care about someone else and giving up their lives to allow this girl to be free to raise her son. That's just how I saw it, I could be way off bass.
Bro, i wanted to subscribe to you coz of some insightful talk, but for a 8 min video u throw in 2 advertisements, that's really off-putting. Just so u know.
