    Thanks for letting nature sing it's own song.

    A fun day with you in the harbor. Thanks

    Brilliant concept, a video about just kicking back watching the world float by. I've noticed a lot of videos on TH-cam doing well because they're just hours of watching the world go by.

      This is our life. Part of it anyway; unadorned and unscripted. Thanks for watching.

    What a great treat to sit on deck with you and enjoy the sights and sounds of Petersburg Harbor.

      You need the smells to get the full effect ...

    The long white funnels 2:32 are attached to the ice house next to the cannery, the 'Northern Fury' is loading up with ice chips for the fish hold. The fish are off loaded using a crane with a fish net, or fish totes.

    Bit of rain, winter preparation. Cup of coffee and watching the world being bussy. Same here in Rotterdam. Most enjoyable video! Keep them coming. Always nice to see you guys!

    Such a boring video, I loved it! It portrayed a cruisers life in harbor, Not all cruising is full of exciting adventures allot of the time its relaxing and absorbing the environment.

    Could we see more of your boat, rigging, equipment ? Thanks for the video !

    • @Cruisinglealea
      @Cruisinglealea  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Certainly! We will be replacing the running rigging soon. Overhauling the ground tackle is also on the short list.

      @@Cruisinglealea Are you settled in Alaska?

      @@carbidegrd1 Settled? I don't think so, but I'm sure we will keep coming back here. Now that the boat is cruise-worthy again we intend to resume exploring Alaska. I am researching a trip up the coast to the Kenai Peninsula next summer.

    Chuck, how about a video on your whipping/rope talents. It looks like you’ve dressed up the tiller, stern anchor tube, rod holder (?), etc.

      Oh yes. That's in the works, although "Talent" is probably not the right word...

    Are you going to spend another winter in Alaska?

    • @Cruisinglealea
      @Cruisinglealea  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. We like it here very much. The weather makes things challenging and we will probably have to go farther South to get the exterior paint completed, but Lealea still sails just fine with faded paint. We are making plans for next year but have not decided on anything yet.

    I like how you say an increase as tourists... I guess if you live there for a couple years, you aren't considered a tourist

    • @Cruisinglealea
      @Cruisinglealea  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cruisers like us, in their own boats, are tourist's too, of course. But there are never more than a handful of us at any given time. We were referring to the cruise ship variety. In a town with a population of less that 3000 (Including the temporary summer cannery workers) a few hundred cruise ship passengers arriving all at once is very noticeable. The number of cruise ships calling at Petersburg has increased quite a lot in the last couple of years. Also larger ships with more passengers have begun showing up. BTW, it's more than a couple of years now. this will be our 8th winter in Petersburg.

    Look after your cooker. I hear they have stopped making them..

    • @Cruisinglealea
      @Cruisinglealea  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We've had that cooker for twenty years. Although we have looked at others, we still like the Origo the best.

    • @frankcromer6945

      @@Cruisinglealea I agree. I've had mine just as long. But I illiterate, I have heard, I personally have not checked, that Origo have stopped making this type of cooker
