Seems like a damn good purchase for the price! Do you think the 85L would be too big for practical use during camping or hunting?

It really just depends on what kind of gear your packing and season. Hunting is obviously fall/winter, so If you’re working with more UL type gear 55l seems to be plenty. I packed it just like a UL hiking pack for a multi day canoe trip and it was great. On the flip side I’ve also packed it with older less modern non UL gear for winter camping, and space started getting tight. 85l may be the better option in the scenario.

For 85L worth of gear you probably gonna want a pack with better back support and better waist belt with padding to support heavy weight.

Is that bag tough enough to last a year of everyday use on a bicycle trip through Mexico? Is it thick material? Good video.

It is a very thick material. Nice and heavy!
Unfortunately I can’t answer your question entirely. I have not done enough extensive testing on the pack to be able to defiantly say it would withstand an entire year worth of abuse in conditions like Mexico. However, I do believe that taken care of and cleaned regularly of abrasive debris it would last you quite a long time.

You think that could hold 40lbs of bbq pellets?
