I know exactly what you mean when you said sometimes trying to keep the journal looking pretty is disencouraging. I've been in situations where I wouldn't touch the notebook because I think I won't have time to set it up "as pretty as I could" and then I wouldn't plan my projects and days properly because of that. That's definitely something I jave to work on 😅. Also, I LOVE that habit tracker. It's so simple to set up I think I might steal the idea from you for my next set up 😉.

In my country we always have spring and summer mixted together but there are some occasions when the trees blossom like never before. So my spring this time is a mash-up of two of your spreads: October, February and this month's but all decorated with the beautiful purple flowers!! :)

Ugh. The creative vomit struggle is REAL! At first I have an amazing idea, burst of motivation and creativity with full on sketches and watercolors.Then after the first weekly spread, I loose all that mojo and end up going for a much simpler layout with just my gel pen and mild liners. You are def not the only one lady haha. I’m also toning down March’s spread to focus more on actual planning and not decorating. You and the ladies you’ve mentioned are fantastic you-tubers and talented artists. #goals 💕

Love this set up. Clean, simple and pretty. I'm using TN for my bullet journal. I have 3 books at present. One is a printed month one 1st pages insert. The 2nd is my weekly and monthly planner and 3rd is my collections. Love it so far but still getting into the swing of things :)

I am so glad you made this. I've been having the exact same issues with my own bullet journal this month, and it's nice to know I'm not the only one with decor "burnout" so to speak.
I think this is a very interesting idea and very creative. It is also a great way to see if someone is interested in a Travelers Notebook but reducing the cost of buying one if you are not sure. Also your artwork is truly outstanding and I am considering trying this out, even if it is a little daunting for me at the moment. You make it seem so seamless.

what you mentioned is happening to me... i haven't been feeling very creative lately and so i kinda stopped using my journal bc i didn't wanna do it unless it was pretty. and i know it defeats the whole purpose. so yeah. i will really try to focus on the planning and being more minimalistic until i get back into it. it was actually what i needed to hear right now!

I could soooo relate to that problem! But the thing is I love mixing colours and creating pretty spreads, but sometimes I get lazy and cause it’s time-consuming I won’t have enough time to do that things that I actually planned to do. I know I should stick to functionality... But they’re so much fun to make 😩

I agree! I explained my expense tracker in a bit more detail in my February Plan With Me, but I basically have 5 columns for expenses (food, home, essentials, wants and others), the description, and then 4 columns (one for each of my accounts and a total) for doing a budget review about once a week. Hope that makes sense! ❤️
