I live in london but I would not suggest anyone to work in this chains its very demanding and too much work rather than apply for agency or apply in retail shops, never aim for anything less.

no there is not any requirement as such now. you can bring pcc certificate if you want.
I have applied for McDonald’s crew member however it’s been almost one month and I still haven’t been issued an interview though I passed the initial screening. Is this normal?

How to answer the availability question cause I have the interview and I know we have to be flexible while telling our availability but the location of the store is 1 hour travel from my location so night shift is a bit difficult. Can you help me with this?
If you are student then you can let them know on which days you have lectures and just say that you are comfortable with this time slot if they specific want you for any other time slot they will ask you if you can work in this hours. if you are comfortable working the time they are asking for then you can say yes as well. Also if you got selected and started working you can change your availability as well but there should be strong reason for eg you have uni on different days, exam related things etc.

Everywhere in the UK will pay at least minimum wage which is £10.42 for 23 years old or over. £10.18 for 21-22years old. £7.49 for 18-20. This is the minimum they can legally pay you however many companies will pay more. I guess you'll need to check the specific McDonald's you are applying to

McDonald’s is not the place for work …
Why? There is no 'bad' job in the UK they will all pay at least minimum wage which is £10.42 for 23 years old or over. And you don't have to do heavy lifting for most of the roles in McDonald's. Especially if you end up having a good group of fellow employees it could be a nice place to work. You shouldn't put people down that are working every job is important. Without McDonald's there would be many times that I would not have a place to eat early in the morning or late at night as they have one of the earliest and latest opening/closing times. It's a very useful service to be able to get hot food when you are cold in your way to/back from work
