I believe a generation is 70-80 years. If I was born in 1970, and lived till 2040, but by strength made it till 2050, That would be my generation. "The days of our years [are] threescore years and ten; (70) and if by reason of strength [they be] fourscore years, (80) yet [is] their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away". Psalm 90:10. Israel was made a nation in a day in 1948. 70 years is 2018, 80 years is 2028. This generation shall not pass until all these things be fulfilled. Mathew 24:34. Jesus was crucified in AD 30, 2000 years later is 2030, we are in 2024. What saith thou??
Thank you for your clear teaching on this question. I have a question for clarification. You read 2 Timothy 2:13 regarding the security of believers. What about verse 12, which says, “If we deny him, he will also deny us”? That seems to contradict vs 13. Thank you!
@anniemccoy3009 2Tim 2:12 is about rewards. Notice that it refers to the right to reign with Christ. The denial in that verse is a denial of the right to reign not a denial of salvation as 2Tim 2:13 makes clear. Hope this helps. Grace.
Maybe there are no overt signs, hints, or prophecies that the age of grace is about to end. However you cannot deny that the clock is ticking on 6000 years. We all long for the day of rest.
I agree this is clearly an OT prophecy that occurred during this dispensation of Grace. I agree that certain Tribulation prophecies cannot happen before the Rapture. Scripture is clear on that. However, Paul did state we would know the time and the season of the Rapture. I firmly believe we are in that window. Israel becoming a nation in 1948 is another OT prophecy in our time. Jews moving back to Israel in record numbers is another. The formation of the Sanhedrin, the priesthood, wanting to build the 3rd temple, these are all things we see now in this dispensation that point to Tribulation events.
Is it possible that when we see stores putting out Halloween decorations that we know Christmas is near? If we see Euphrates River drying can that mean the 2nd coming is near? It’s like it’s always been said, “ we are closer today than we were yesterday. I see this AI stuff is prep for the mark etc… I think seeing things that were prophesied about 2nd coming happening means that rapture is near because that happens first .
Brother Reid. Goodevening from Holland. How do i explain someone who accuses us of "hyper" dispensationalism as a false teaching because we preach that in time past israel had to do works? Grace and peace to you and yours. Sister Lusie
People label us as "hyper" because it is much easier to label and dismiss people than disprove their position from the scriptures. Eph 3:1-9 makes it more than clear that Paul had new information. If that information was new, then by definition it could not be the same as what was taught previously. We try to take people to Eph 3 to show the distinctive nature of Paul's ministry.
Israel is in less than 13% of the land that God promised them, which means the prophecy has not been fulfilled. According to Genesis 15:18 and Joshua 1:4, the land God gave to Israel included everything from the Nile River in Egypt to Lebanon (south to north) and everything from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River (west to east). On today’s map, the land God has stated belongs to Israel includes everything modern-day Israel possesses, plus all of the territory occupied by the Palestinians (the West Bank and Gaza), plus some of Egypt and Syria, plus all of Jordan, plus some of Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Thus, Israel currently possesses only a fraction of the land God has promised;
@@mlayton1904 … even the OT at its greatest under King Solomon… Israel never had possession of all the lands God promised to Abraham. So what they possess now is not unlike what they had back then.
Hi David. 😁 I have a question...how does one answer believers who attend denominational churches, who say.. oh but God showed Grace in the Old Testament as well so what's the big deal about "the dispensation of Grace?" I'm a bit stumped about giving the correct answer to that,
Sure, God showed grace in the OT, but in the OT, Gentiles were without hope (Eph 2:11-12). Today, Gentiles have been grafted in and have direct access to God. In time past, saints had to endure unto the end (Matt 24:13). Today, we have salvation as an instantaneous, eternal gift (Eph 1:13-14). There are other differences, but hopefully this gives you a starting point.
@@ColumbusBibleChurch THANK YOU DAVID! 🤗 you know, I was saying that to myself in fact, but I wasn't confident about my thoughts at all! Thank you for clarification. I've learnt so much from you 🙏 I really appreciate your Ministry 😁 really edifying 😊😊😊
You might want to turn the question around to something they are more familiar with, such as "Paul in the front side of your Bible speaks about laws and expectations of behavior among the Body of Christ, so what's the big deal about the dispensation of Law given to Moses at Mount Sinai?
In John 10:16 when Jesus said "other sheep I have which are not of this fold", who was He referring to? Almost seems like He's hinting to us, His body. Need some help understanding this.
In John 10:16, the Lord is not hinting of the body of Christ. The mystery was a secret with no leakage or hints. What the Lord is referring to is Jews that had been scattered among the nations (John 11:52).
@@ColumbusBibleChurch Ah, thanks. I'm gonna highlight that and make a note. This is who James is writing to in his letter, am I right? (James 1:1) to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
David, I'm having trouble with the interpretation of Romans 11. I understand the perspective you have about the Gentiles mentioned in the chapter, but I also find it difficult to follow that Paul is speaking of the dispensation of Grace in this chapter. Why I have mixed assertions about that, is because of the comparisons between the unbelieving Jews that were cut off and the grafted in Gentiles which are said to experience and exist under the same exact risk as were these Jews, for the same exact reasons. Now one might interpret that to be a broad sense of God comparing the two programs in the earth, broadly comparing Israel to the Gentiles; or one might interpret this to be speaking more specifically of the unbelieving majority in Israel (not the little flock remnant), compared to a group of Gentiles that attained that which this unbelieving group did not attain, entrance into the coming earthly kingdom. If the tree which Israel was naturally connected represents the promise of an earthly glorious kingdom, then wouldn't it stand to reason if these unnatural branches (Gentiles) were grafted in "among" them, these Gentiles were to receive the same promises? Wouldn't this imply proselyte Gentiles who became Jews? A group of Gentiles Paul writing to in Rome who'd been exposed to the gospel of the kingdom? Romans 9:30, 10:19 seems to indicate a group of believing Gentiles who by their believing would provoke these unbelieving Jews. Paul's grace gospel dealing with heavenly-place principles would not provoke Jews who expected an earthly eternal kingdom. But if a group of proselyte Jews (former Gentiles) attained what the Jews wanted (but failed through unbelief), wouldn't that be provocation? It would seem a little silly to me for Gentiles saved under Paul's gospel of the Grace of God to boast against a fallen Israel, if these Gentiles weren't attaining what those Jews were promised to attain, but rather something completely different. Yet if they were proselyte Jews under the same risk of being cut off (not eternal security) as were the unbelieving Jews, that would signal to me that these were entering the promised earthly kingdom. In other words, Romans 9-11 has nothing at all to do with the Gospel of the uncircumcision, in my assertion. Please help me out.
Paul preached the gospel of the uncircumcision. There is no reason to think that Rom 11 is not about the gospel of the uncircumcision. Under your theory, Rom 11 is about Gentiles being grafted into the kingdom program. If that is the case, then Rom 11 is no different than the prophetic program and Paul is not talking about mystery information. But Rom 11 says it is mystery information (Rom 11:25).
@@ColumbusBibleChurch I see your point. Yet I don't find the answer satisfactory to the other questions I had, especially the provocation of the unbelieving Jews. Was there a group of Proselyte Gentiles in Rome before Paul was able to step foot into the city and begun preaching the gospel of the uncircumcision? My point wasn't what sort of gospel Paul was delivering, my point was Paul could have been addressing Gentiles who'd converted under Peter. I know there were proselytes in Jerusalem at the time of the Acts 2 experience. Tree metaphors in the scriptures have to do with dominion, prosperity, earthly kingdoms. Gentiles being grafted into the tree Israel was broken from, I just don't see how that is the heavenly places revelation of the mystery.
Go read Dr. Andy Woods position on the ‘falling away’ … it has nothing to do with what your saying … it’s just another expression for the Rapture. Read the verse in context …
Let’s consider this. At the start of the gospel of Grace, when Paul was called/taught the gospel to the uncircumcised the kingdom gospel also was preached. For a short time they both coexisted. Therefore, fail to see the full logic of your position statement that just because the dispensation of Grace was not mentioned in the OT. To have any prophecy take place during it would negate it being a mystery. When at a point in time both existed. So events outside of the Tribulation .. .. For instance Ezk 38, is a prophetic event which could happen prior to the start of the tribulation. Or the destruction of Damascus is another. If either of these occurred before the Rapture I fail to see how either would have been an indicator of this dispensation. Further, we see the formation of a one world government, a single world currency, both events are Trib realities forming now in this dispensation. The rebirth of Israel was prophesied in the OT, yet it happened in 1948, this dispensation. While I agree it is clear certain Tribulation prophecies will not happen until after the Rapture, I’m not dogmatic that other non Trib events can’t happen.
My thoughts: The “day of Christ” isn’t the rapture. The falling away (Israel’s falling away)only happens after the rapture takes place, then the man of sin is revealed, then the DOC becomes a reality when the midtrib casting of satan and his angels out of heaven to the earth happens. Rapture, falling away, ac reveal(abomination which makes desolate,) casting of satan and company to earth. The Body of Christ is then emplaced in heaven and the great tribulation begins. imo Grace & Peace
Ps 90:10 does not use the word "generation". A generation is 40 years. Num 32:13 KJV - And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed. Psa 95:10 KJV - Forty years long was I grieved with [this] generation, and said, It [is] a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
The vine is national Israel. Ps 80:6. Is 5:1-7 The parable of the fig tree is consistently misunderstood and misapplied. The fig tree represents the religious life of Israel--their own effort/works. Gen 3:7, Matt 24:32-this verse is mistaught as the fig tree being national Israel, making people think the Trib will commence within a “generation” of 1948. Wrong! In Matt 21:19-20 Jesus basically says the religious life of Israel is barren. The Old Covenant withered away never to return-replaced with new. Antichrist attempts to resuscitate the old -Dan 8 Matt 24:32-34 is describing the revival of temple worship (religious life) when covenant is made with Antichrist! What Jesus is teaching in the parable is this: When you (that observing generation) sees religious Israel “putting forth leaves”--being born, coming to active life once more-know that the things he has just described previously in chapter 24. (i.e. the Tribulation) is upon you. The generation that sees the Tribulation temple rebuilt, blood sacrifices and full temple worship reinstated (Religious Israel “putting forth leaves”), will be the Jewish believing generation to live through/called to overcome the seven years of testing/wrath. The fig tree is religious Israel. Surely, the rebirth of national Israel in 1948 was a step on the ladder of stage setting/pre-prophecy readiness, but Matt 24:32-34 is not describing national Israel and is therefore not basis for proof we are living in “that generation” necessarily. I do think and pray it’s soon. Come Lord Jesus!
To your understanding… but that doesn’t make you correct. Both the Kingdom Gospel and the Age of Grace co-existed when it first started and prophetic events happened like 70 AD temple destruction. The Jewish language has been restored just as prophesied.
I noticed you didn't read Ephesians 3:5 at the start of this video.
Psalm 90:10 states a generation is 70 to 80 years just fyi. All we need to know can be found in the Word of God.
40, 100, and sometimes 70 years.
The vine is national Israel. Ps 80:6. Is 5:1-7
The parable of the fig tree is consistently misunderstood and misapplied. Antichrist attempts to resuscitate the old -Dan 8
Matt 24:32-34 is describing the revival of temple worship (religious life) when covenant is made with Antichrist!
( Which in other ages was not known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the spirit; Dispensation theory has some many gaps in its belief. I promise anybody that read the holy bible will not come with this theory. You can only believe in this theory of dispensation is been taught by men.
