DIY floor length backless cowl neck dress | Jewel ivy

Whats up jewels!!💎🌞in todays video I’m sewing a floor length backless cowl neck dress. I used burnout velvet fabric so it’s so soft and comfy! I drafted a basic dress block and added no seam allowance and sewed the edges with my serger at 1/4in.

😂😂LOL that’s funny it does look like a pizza cutter. It’s actually a “rotary cutter” from Joann’s. You can find them on Amazon as well.

I drafted this using my basic knit bodice block. I’m going to upload an updated detailed video on a dress like this in about 2 weeks! They do have patterns on Etsy you can buy though if you don’t like pattern drafting.

I drafted it myself with a basic stretch block using my measurements and I dropped the neckline and extended it outwards to create a cowl effect.

Video idea is to break the sewing parts up on this dress . Ie . Just do a 7 min on which way to inset the straps so they come out like they do in a video . Do it on Minnie doll .
Do the step on cutting the same fabric for facing ..
Etc etc .
These can be videos cause shorts be too fast .. just my two cents . 🎉😂❤
