My mindset is that even before the game starts I have already visualized that I’m gonna do some damage in the box so whenever I do step on that field I will believe that i am the meanest man on it.
I recommend mid, or no, leg kick so you can repeat your swing. Like you said, with a big leg kick, you have to be perfectly on time, or guess right, otherwise, your timing will be off.

Every single hitter in the major leagues does not line up their door knuckles despite some of those guys preaching it. Might be one of those "feel vs real" things. I googled mike trout, barey bonds, bryce harper, ted williams, willie mays, jose ramirez." Have yet to find one guy that lines up their door knocking knuckles.
Interesting. But, I've never heard of any of those hitters actually talk about lining your knuckles up. Barry Bonds liked to be handsy but never said anything about lining knuckles up.
Great video feels like it can help a lot especially if it comes from a former MLB batter. Do you have any advice for still being able too make good contact all by not being able to face real pitching except in games.(our team can only bat against our coach tossing the ball Wich is nothing compared to in-game pitching.)

I would recommend you do the 2-tee drill to stay on the zone longer. You can watch my Fernando tatis jr that explains it. To hit the ball deeper, you could think opposite field or start later so your point of contact could be deeper.
what you could also do on deck is not think and use survival skills to hit the ball you already know you need to hit the ball and run the bases so just dont talk to yourself at all i found that it works for me better than thinking i am gonna crush the ball im going to swing till its a ball etc
You can start the box drill at normal distance with speeds at average, or slightly above average. I always used the pitching machine for the box drill, but I did do it with soft toss before. As well as with someone throwing batting practice. I preferred the machine since I was doing it to slow down the speed of the pitcher and eliminate any movements that were taken me away from getting barrel to the ball.

He's seen the amount of hard work she has put in, and how its paying off for her. Her name is Scarlett Gordon. You will see her playing for college national championship in a few years. I started baseball at 7th grade and i turned 16 a day ago and throughout that time i always had great defense, range, vision,great awareness of the strike zone. But the problem i have had is putting good contact if not at all i will have problems where I can’t barrel the ball without hitting a weak dribbler for a hit. I know i have power i just have mechanical problems that prevent me from doing that. I failed to make my freshman and jv team throughout my time in high school and it’s not looking promising. I need criticism.

A lot of great info here so I have a couple of comments ok first of all 1960 was my father's last year in pro ball it's a long story but he quit was ready to change his life and raise us 4 kids but ended up the very end of the season back in the California league where he faced a guy named Steve dowlkoski Earl weaver said his fast ball more than Ryan or Chapman ok so that day he walked 17 and struck out 17 my dad faced him 7 times walked 4 struck out once on a checked swing only breaking ball he saw also hit one420 ft guy took it off the wall and then later on hit a long fly ball to win the game he conjured up mental image of a rattlesnake in front of him and he wanted to chop it's head off he described those bats as the bat getting in the way of the ball also my uncle pitched in softball national championship in 1936 look up ty stoflet he was on that level he would always say if he saw a guy coming up with a baseball swing he knew he had him hitting off high heat if that's what you are looking for it might be better to level off or you could look lower and make him miss with that high heat and come into you of course depends on pitcher and situation as you described starts in the hole be aware also a good life lesson the ball you hit if had been caught it would have been a diving catch right but what impressed me was you had a slight hesitation and then did excellent job of going the other way with power
One thing I don’t understand is even though I’m the biggest kid on my JV high school team I hit for average I have the best average on the team but I have only hit one double all year and the rest have been singles my smaller teammates are hitting it a lot further
Could be a lot of things but without seeing your swing, a few things that pop in my head are; - slow batspeed - point of contact more out front - not getting extended through baseball. If you start doing these 3 things, I'm sure you will start hitting more extra base hits.

Do you recommend no stride or a leg kick for fast pitching? I have a big leg kick and I’m trying to get rid of it because of timing issues.

you can stick with a big leg kick if it’s comfortable but you would have to start your swing really early

Yeah for sure Leo. My advice would be to go to a batting cage. Hitting off a pitching machine is tough...which makes it so valuable.

I put it on a decent speed most times for my students because, When you walk closer to it, its going to speed up. With that said, any speed works.

I feel like when I am hitting against fast pitchers I mirror the pitcher. Is that a good habit? I don't struggle to much but I just want to know
