I mean all the other teams have like years of working together as a roster, all tactics and shit, and here we are the USA just put together raw talent for like months and still wins anyway. And they say the world is catching up just every single time. Yeah, ain't nobody will beat USA in LA either.
The world is obviously catching up. It used to be that the USA blew out every team by 20-30 every time. There are way, way more NBA-caliber players outside of the US Team. Now they actually have to try to win! I'm American and I want us winning in 2028 but I just see it as a good thing. For one, it means the growth of the sport we love and higher levels of competition. More importantly, though, it means we get to see exciting clutch basketball games. The Dream Team didn't have any exciting games because it was just them whooping everyone by 40 every game. Now we get shit like Serbia or France forcing these legendary athletes to perform at the highest levels.

This is not 1992 anymore, a lot of countries have evolved in the game of basketball. They may not be superstars like the NBA players but they are professionnals who have grit and who take their job serious. LeBron was already a gold medalist he didn’t have to come back yet he did and comitted fully, and that shows the respect he has for the sport on an international scene. Hopefully this will inspire the younger generations that not everything is about money or status or facebook likes, the world is big and rich of remarkable and dedicated people everywhere.
