I think the saddest thing about Gia's story is that she is the first to defend and help Rue. But Rue doesn't think twice about tricking and stabbing Gia in the back.

I kinda want to know if gia resents rue or just hates her? She still loves her but she probably has a big part that hates rue I want to see a episode just about gia and how she's dealing with it all

She is like more disappointed, she keeps suffering and she isn't even in little bit of control of it.
She's also getting traumatized from watching her sister and mom physically and verbally fight
No, not hate. It’s clear she loves her sister as she has a habit of protecting her sister actions from time to time. I do think however that she is starting to be a little resentful (and perhaps indifferent) towards Rue tho. If we do get a s3, I hope they expand more on this character development

Dang this really showcases the trauma Gia is living. She can't really control the intensity around her. I'm more curious about her arch. She could be her own show.
Gia clearly hasn't been ok since Rue's overdose, whenever rue talked about smoking weed you can see she was totally freaked out, and she's traumatised she may not show it until after the intervention episode but you can clearly tell, so i hope that Ali will be an influence to her and in season 3, we'll find out how she's really been doing ❤

I hope that her mother stops making her daughter suppress her feelings or dismiss it, removing her from conversations about Rue even though Rue dumps all her ideas on her, and telling Gia that it’s not her place to be involved in the Conan’s argue as it that would help, with what Rue has already dumped on her.

I look back and wonder if Gia is actually the main character. Is it symbolic how a (drastically) different looking actress plays Rue in her flashbacks, pero like she overdosed and came back as Zendaya! What if the whole point is that Rue and her circle are "celebrities" and Gia is just in middle school trying to be good so nothing is happening but fractions and milk at lunch. I'm curious how different Gia's high school experience is versus Rue because Rue has her dead father to fall back on to defend (somewhat) with her addiction. It's a solo trip with Rue. [Spoiler] That crazy drug lady could kidnap Gia instead of Rue.
I can definitely see an ending of the show with a grown up Gia narrating her sister's life 🤔
my brother is a Gia. I don't do drugs but I get myself into bad situations, I try my best to get better mentally, and to be more stable. The fights I have with my mom is tiring, and I'm trying to figure out what I want in life, I'm almost 30. I don't know what to do. I've had a suicide attempt in my past and my brother heard me yell at my mom that i'd kill myself. idk sometimes I do feel like it would be better without me sometimes.
