Murcia is a city in the south east of Spain and capital of the Region of Murcia. The city has a population of 460,000 and around 700,000 live in the metropolitan area. The city of Murcia is known for its Baroque Cathedral. Some other highlights of the city are the Moneo Building (City Hall), Casa Cerdá, the Old Bridge in the centre of the city over the River Segura and the Monteagudo Castle with the Christ statue.
