I mis-spoke (again) - this probably cost me around £40 to kit out 2 cases, but that's with plenty of spare material left over! The possibly more important "What's in My..." video is coming soon 😉
I like your style man. Very chill and informative. I'm gonna fit out a couple of my cases next weekend. For anyone watching in Australia, Officeworks sell 500x770mm sheets of corflute for $11.50 each (it used to be a LOT cheaper a couple of years ago) or Bunnings have 900x1200 sheets for about 19 bucks. Bunnings also sell the adhesive foam for 24 bucks for a 450mm x 3m roll (3mm thick). Grab me sausage in bread while you're there and Uber Courier it over to me.
Great video again, I looked at the divider system that you mentioned after I had bought the Pelicans (2x 1510) but stuck with the padded inserts as they can be configured easily and are more padded. Didn’t realise that Pelican had bought them out...shame really. I think your solution is fantastic though and you can certainly get more in the cases. Great idea. Over here in Oz that material is called corflute!👍😎🇦🇺🇬🇧
Thanks Max! It's holding up great so far, very happy I went the DIY route. Weirdly, my dad called it corflute when he saw me using it... and he's never been to Australia 🤔 Thanks for watching!
@@taylorhickman84 Yep, coroplast in the states, corflute ion Oz. Good old coroplast, it's durable stuff. All of my old KinoFlo fixtures were made out of that stuff and they lasted for YEARS with no kind of case. They kinda acted as their own case those 4ft Kino fixtures.
Glad your video popped up on my feed. I had been looking at these cases and doing something similar which is why your video showed up 😀 no doubt. I had also looked at same company as their prices seemed very reasonable. Thanks will check out more of your videos
Out curiosity - what foam are you using in the bottom of your cases? I noticed the 1in. foam in the bottom but I don’t recall hearing you mention where it came from..😕 Killer video dude! You have no idea how helpful this is!!
Thanks Jarrod! Don't really know what it's called, but Memfy and most other retailers use the same stuff. I'm sure if you just search 1in foam on Amazon it'd be the same stuff, and just cut to size 💁♂️
Great video, great content, great delivery !! What I have discovered though is that the Peli 1510 turns out to be cheaper than the Nunuk, at least in Europe...
Thanks! Here in the UK most retailers have the Nanuk 935 around £180, and the Peli 1510 around £250. No idea if there's different distribution across Europe for each company though
Awesome case build! Quick question, any smell issues with the self adhesive neoprene (off gassing for the bonded adhesive)? Thanks and keep up the great work!
Thanks! Nah, I heard stories of the smelly adhesive spray so I went the self-adhesive route instead. This on I've used has had no issues, I can't speak for others though

Thank you very much for mentioning us on your video. We hope to supply you with more cases in the future.
You're welcome!
Went back to this after our conversation the other day haha! thanks!
👊
You sir have just gained a sub! Great idea and much cheaper than Trek Pak which I've had sat in my shopping cart for almost a week. Thank you!
You're welcome Jim, and thanks!

Enjoyed your video but I’m not sure what foam you used for your case is it Eva foam or neoprene foam ? And how thick did you use ? Thanks 😊

in the states it's commonly referred to as 'coraplast', my guess is that's short for corrugated plastic.

At 7:49, shouldn't that be 2 @ 1mtr x 90mm, (not cm) foam?
Thanks so much for this Ben! Really helpful I’m making mine today
Ace, hope it goes well!

Very helpful and high quality video, really appreciate the idea going to use it for my pelican case and cabinet drawers, gained a sub :)
You’re welcome man, and thanks!
You gotta update these links 😢
Hey man! Very informative and straight to the point video. May I ask tho how tall you cut your dividers to be? Thanks!
You're welcome! Mine are bang on 100mm with around an inch of foam in the base, never had anything rattling around or escaping compartments 👊
