This is what I recall to console myself when I’m unable to pray, fast or read the Quran. Syeikh Omar Sulaiman said that you are essentially obeying Allah’s command by not doing these acts of ibadah when you are menstruating. And when you obey Allah, that is an act of worship in itself. And Allah will Insha Allah reward you for obeying His commands ❤

@@monaafni7693 Waalaikum Salaam. Our source of hidayah and guidance is not only limited to the Quran. It is an obligation for us to take heed of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) sunnah and Hadith. There are narrations that can be taken from the seerah as well, that mention of the prohibitions of certain acts of ibadah for the women while in the state of menstruation. It is even mentioned in the seerah that women should not rush to take their ghusl before attaining purity from menstruation, as narrated by Aisha (RA). When she was asked about this, it is reported that she said one should wait until one sees her discharge turn from dirty-coloured to white before taking ghusl, and to not rush the matter. Of course, there are acts of ibadah that one can do without any ambiguity while in the state of menstruation, such as making du’a and dhikr, giving charity, listening to Quran recitation. And Allah knows best.

      A menstruating woman can:
      1) Listen to the Quran, ponder about its meanings, and cry.
      2) Buy a supplication book and make constant dhikr.
      3) Send blessings on our beloved Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace).

    She CAN read/recite the Quran.
This is the opinion of Ibn Taymiyyah, ibn Qayyim, Imam Malik, Bukhari, and one opinion of Imam ibn Hunbal as well as many other scholars. Their argument is that the hadith mentioned above is Daeef (weak). In fact, the hadith is considered weak by almost all scholars of Hadith and therefore cannot be used in order to make a fiqh ruling. So women may recite or read the Quran, either from memory or from the Quran mushaf (book) itself.
    TOUCHING THE QURAN
Scholars of fiqh agree that someone who is not purified CANNOT touch the Quran because Allah says in the Quran “None shall touch it except the purified” (Waqiah: 79). This includes the junub (sexually impure), the menstruating woman, as well as someone without wudhu.
So how can she read the Quran?
    1) Use a barrier (glove, towel, pen) so that her hand doesn’t directly touch the Quran
    2) Read it off of a tablet or phone as these are not considered the Quran, but rather devices that have the Quran in them.

Imam An Nawawi has also stated that one of the opinions of Imam Ahmad and Imam Malik is that it is unlawful(haram) for a woman in menses to recite Quran. (Al Majmoo Sharhul Muhazab vol. 3 pg.282).
In Al Mughni, Ibn Qudama has mentioned that the established Mazhab of Imam Ahmad is that a woman in her menses is prohibited from reciting Al Quran. (Al Mughni vol.1 pg144).

From this explaination, we see that from among the four great Imams of Fiqh, only Imam Malik has given an allowance for the menstruating woman to recite Quran. All the others have ruled that she is prohibited from doing so. The evidence for these scholars is a tradition of the Prophet (SAS) which has been recorded by Imam Trimizi, from the tradition of Abdullah bin Umar (RA). This tradition states that Ibn Umar said, ‘the Prophet (SAS) said a woman in menses and a person in Janabah must not read anything from the Quran’. (Tirmizi, Abu Dawood, Ibn Majah).
Having recorded this tradition, Imam Tirmizi said, ‘This is the statement of most of the scholars from the companions of the Prophet (SAS), the Tabi’een and those after them like Sufyan Thauri, Abdullah bin Mubarak, Imam Shafi, Imam Ahmad, Ishaq’. (Tirmizi Chap. ‘A woman in menses and person in Janabah (major impurity) must not read the Quran).
Although some scholars have considered the above tradition to be weak on account of one of its narrators Isma’eel bin Ayaash, those who have mentioned prohibition have referred to the tradition in which it is clearly evident that a person who is in the state of Janabah (major ritual impurity ) must not read the Quran. In this regard, the tradition of Ali (RA) has been quoted, which states that Ali (R.A.) said ‘The Messenger of Allah (SAS) would recite Quran to us in all states except when he was in Janabah (major ritual impurity being in the state of sexual pollution) (Imam Tirmizi recorded this and then said, ‘This hadith is good and sound Chapter-A man can recite Quran in all states except in the state of Janabah. Ibn Hibban has also considered it to be Saheeh (sound)). Hakim has also considered it Saheeh (sound). Abu Dawood, Nasai and Ibn Majah have also recorded it (Tuhfatul Ahwazi vol.1 pg.476)

I don't know why people are not realizing that phone(modern times), paper, bones, leaves (ancient time) is a tool to deliver message. Firstly, Quran is not came as text form, it came as sound form, if it is came as text through Jibril then for argument sake we can reconsider that we should not touch the book during menstruation. Secondly, Quran does not came as one shot as whole book, it came little by little as sound form for 23 years, When it comes Prophet would ask Sahaba to write it down, those time there is no paper like today. Thirdly, if you read the verse 56 from here,
    77. It is a noble Quran.
    78. In a well-protected Book.
    79. None can grasp it except the purified.
    80. A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.
It clearly talks about a well protected book which is there in heaven, that cannot be touched by unauthorized being, not the books which we are using right now in form of paper, usbdrive, cds , dvds may be in future hands free. Allah knows everything, Quran 13:9. The Knower of the Invisible and the Visible; the Grand, the Supreme.
So, please do not misguide women, this will loose them from getting amplified rewards by reading the Quran this blessed month.
Additionally, most the words we read, write everyday is from Quran like Allah, Heaven, Hell, Sheitan etc. Are we going to say to women stay away from these words?
Quran 5:87. O you who believe! Do not prohibit the good things God has permitted for you, and do not commit aggression. God does not love the aggressors.

My dear, it's about submission. We pray when Allah wants us to pray, we don't pray when He prevents us from praying. Yes, our tongues may earn to recite His book during those days but we only stop ourselves for Allah. This is a great sincere action inshaa Allah. Remember, actions are judged by their intentions.
As for hifdh, it can definitely be done inshaa Allah. Al hamdu lillah I went through the same journey. All I can say is that you just have to adjust your hifdh schedule to accommodate your special days. Make sure you revise thoroughly during your pure days and after finishing your period you can revise the last month's portions and check if all is good. If some portions are weak then you just repeat again. It takes a bit longer but that's not a problem inshaa Allah.
I also like to watch a hadr recitation with the mushaf simultaneously on the screen. It's very useful mashaa Allah. Look up شيخ أحمد ديبان حدر here on TH-cam.

there is no prblm for women to recite Quran and this is the most authentic opinion This is the opinion of Ibn Taymiyyah, ibn Qayyim, Imam Malik, Bukhari, and one opinion of Imam ibn Hunbal as well as many other scholars.
3)Read a book which has Tafseer/translation in it - as that is not considered the Quran mushaf (book) either. Even if it contains the Arabic, if half is tafseer/translation, it is permissible for an impure person to ho

3)Read a book which has Tafseer/translation in it - as that is not considered the Quran mushaf (book) either. Even if it contains the Arabic, if half is tafseer/translation, it is permissible for an impure person to hold

So we can't recite al quran at all?? Dr haifa said you can't, but you can read it as long you don't move your lips.
So i can't do morning& afternoon dzikir?? There's ayatul kursi, al ikhlas, al Falaq, an nas there
      What about dua before sleep??
I used to recite two last surah al Baqarah, and al Mulk before sleep
      So it's prohibited???

Hear a schooler say the reading r of the Quran from the physical & the phone is not permitted cos the words r as important as the physical book.

  • @adralia23
    @adralia23 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

The Quran in the time of The Prophet pbuh was not in a form of mushaf yet, it was not a book yet. So there could not be an ayah nor a hadith about touching The Quran. The one that is mentioned in The Quran was Lauhul Mahfuzh.
