You had a moment of the best dark bit humor in the clip, and it would work perfect her. If the Ottoman's hadn't conquered the leftovers of the Easter Roman Empire, and convinced the westerners to find a new route to east Asia, then none of us might be here in the America's. What a thought... Oh no.
Regarding Shakespeare, there's a Brit show called Upstart Crow in which David Mitchell plays Shakespear. They often talk and joke about him inventing words.
The most political thing from Britain probably is just that. Why Mr. Terry didn't listen to the question again to answer it right is beyond me. The second most political thing was probably making divorce possible. After that, I'm a little bit stumped on history. Maybe keeping the Royals as a mascot?
02:00 in. There are even theories about "who really wrote" the plays. I think the newest one is that a noblewoman wrote them (because Shakespear would not have known all the codes of the high nobility and she could not publish them because it talks about things a woman in her position could not write about). But glad seing reaction to Philomena hehe :)
I found out that it was actually quite popular for authors to create new words up until about the 1940's when I was in middle school in the 90's. I started making up words and tossing them out for a few days and see what ones I would hear back later. Some of my words I heard back after a decade or more LOL. One of my words took off and became popular in my area for a while then 15 years later I see The Rock using it lol. My word that I saw The Rock use 15 years later was Badassery, as in "we are in for some serious Badassery tonight" LOL. Considering the area I exposed the word to the world in is 1000 miles or more away from anywhere The Rock has lived I would love to see how my word got to him.
Have a look for Educating Yorkshire, Musharaf Asghar + Mr Burton. It features the guy talking about iambic pentameter in his real life role as an English teacher - even if you don't react, it's a super heart-warming piece of tv and shows the best of teaching as a profession.
I find the claim that Jesus was the first celebrity victim of cancel culture shocking and insulting since Socrates went trough the same thing 5 centuries prior! 😡😡 (and he was probably not the first, just the first that comes to mind) 😉
Check out some Mark Steel Lectures - he covers many historical figures including Sigmund Freud, Albert Einstein, Mary Shelley, Sylvia Pankhurst, Beethoven and several more besides.
I don't care if you like her or hate her, but a debate between Philomena and kamla would be hilariously incomprehensible. It would be an immovable object meeting an unstoppable force.
I have two questions. 1. How are they being humiliated? 2. Is it sound to trash people for how they look, when you yourself looks like something that was just pulled out of the sewers ?

When Beethoven went deaf everybody told him to stop, but he just wouldn't hear it.
really i didnt hear that
What?
I could tell she wanted to laugh so badly at "King Arthur Came-alot" 😂
ain't no way this masterpiece been held back for a month
Lol i think he might have just forgot about it
4:40 "Or you can't read very well"
That guy has the sass and is quick witted. I love seeing more of him.

Idk why they've cut them that way, she goes on to genuinely ask if Arthur came a lot
I suspect that Shakespeare didn't invent that many new words but rather documented them.
Robert peston has a very good sense of humour himself so him and "philomena" is a really fun time
No spoilers needed for Romeo and Juliet since the Chorus spoils it in the first five lines. “A pair of star-crossed lovers take their lives.”
Tbf it _could_ have been two _different_ star crossed lovers... Or a ruse! (Like it was supposed to be until it became real.)
5:39 Magna Carta

Or 1689 claim to right
philomena is coming back this January!! can't wait for new reactions
The pentameter guy shows up in a really great clip with him helping a stammering student

In Aus we so say Kil-o-metre, we also spell it correctly.

I have my history matriculation exam next tuesday.
I need someone to pray for me
Might be a random stranger, but I’ll include you in my daily prayer tonight.
Remember, The soviet onion
I wonder why the history professor didn't talk about the onion shaped roof of St. Basil's Cathedral.
The Charlie Brooker show was what she started on.
Fair warning!!! Don't watch this while drinking hot coffee...pretty sure I burned myself when she said Soviet Onion.
I think im in love
When the nobles fought for and the parliamentary system of government.

The most political thing in Britain by far is changing the IRN BRU recipe.

Starvharv has a new video!!!!!!
I will nag the discord mods to make that emote, sir!
Most political thing? Something about Oliver Cromwell, probably.
I’m pretty sure Socrates was a victim before Jesus.
💀

An interview with Trump would provide more fertile ground for comedy. For example she could asked him why he is so concerned about "crowded slides"
@@ap0563Or she could ask him why he's eating pets 😂
@@ap0563 He would destroy her. Kamala would be destroyed. I don't know what world you're living in.
@@oliversherman2414 Wow can't even get an insult right. You're just not funny.
@@djackklingler3 The whole story is fake anyway, so does it even matter? 😆
React to SML movie: Abraham LinKEN
female ali g?
She is a fine actor, unfortunately she wasn't responsible for writing the most of the show.
