Nice!! I was really impressed with this one when I tried it out, and I’ve always loved their instruments. Congrats on your new purchase. I have a sneaking suspicion you’ll be happy with it! :-)
I've test driven a few guitars form the Godin family in shops, but never owned one. A friend used to have a nylon string (not a Multiac, but a Concert acoustic/electric). Every time we went to their house, I'd play that guitar. That Stadium Pro has TV Jones & Lollar pickups? Cool! And a Basswood body? I'll bet it *is* light. I think I've mentioned before that my teles were made by a friend of mine, Bob Logan in southern Wisconsin. One of these was custom made for me by Bob out of lumber I salvaged from our house fire in 2010. Well, the top & back wood is salvaged old growth Longleaf Pine. The body core is Basswood, and that's why I mentioned it. Also, it's chambered, so the guitar is really light. It weighs 5 lbs. 10oz.
Oh man, that sounds like a nice weight for a guitar! That’s one of the reasons why I love the Melancon telecaster style guitar you see me play so much on the channel. It’s just over 6 pounds and has a big fat neck. Feels so natural and comfortable that it’s one of my first guitars to grab Oh yes, but about this Godin, yeah, the combination of pickups is something truly special and it must weigh about six or 6 1/2 pounds as well. Just a joy to play.
I seriously considered a D’Agostino Seagull at one time. So many of the Seagull dreads grabbed my attention but I couldn’t get past the looks (I know, shallow.. forgive me!). At least the D’Agostino was a little more pimped out. But wow Lucas, your playing always impresses man. Well done!
Honestly everyone of the seagulls I have tried are great sounding guitars for the money. I have had students over the years Who purchase one as a first guitar when they come to me for lessons. Years later many of them still just have that one guitar is it tends to sound better with age. They sound pretty wide open for brand new guitars. This also goes for many of the other brands that Norman makes. When I was making this video so many of those names eluded me, but Simon and Patrick and art and luthery are just a couple other brands that Norman/Godin make. Oddly enough I don’t really like the Norman guitars that I have tried with the exception of a few older ones. A lot of the newer ones have intonation issues, but I know Seagul is another company entirely. Thanks for your kind words on the playing once again! This was a truly fun one to demo. I am a huge fan of the telecaster thing. I have a real affinity for them and play this style of guitar a lot so don’t usually feel that a telecaster and I can’t get along. Lol
I got one of these in the ozark cream color late last year and absolutely love it. I'm relatively new on electrics but have acquired an embarrassing amount of them in the past year or so per all the post-COVID firesales. The Godin is by far my favorite out of all. That said, I don't have any other teles by which to compare it to but I love the weight, sustain and sparkle from the pickups (it actually has a Gretsch sounding element to it as well)
Thanks so much for watching! I really really enjoyed this guitar, one of my favourites of the entire video shoot I did this particular day at the store. I’ve got a lot of experience with telecasters to compare itto, and the stadium pro certainly stands up and has some uniqueness as well that makes it stand out from the crowd.. no harm in having a good collection of instruments. They are all different and if you play them, that’s all that counts.
Arm bevel on a telecaster is super nice. Just one of the reasons why I love my Melancon t style! This guitar was cool though! It was an instrument that played itself right away, and I enjoyed those pickups Big time!
@@LucasHaneman The Aerodyne Tele I picked up recently has a nice arched top so it’s almost there. No top loader though, bought one and it didn’t fit. No belly cut. Still very nice, especially for the price.
Just ordered one of these in Pacifik blue. Can't wait. Will be my second Godin guitar and I absolutely love the guitars they make.

Beautiful playing, man! I own the same guitar, and absolutely love it. But I'd be a little ashamed to play it in front of you! 🙂
Haha you’re too kind. These are sweet guitars. You’re lucky to have one. I appreciate you checking out the channel, and hope you have a good day

That one is right up my alley fo sho. All except I want a top loader with arm bevel and less importantly a belly cut. Nice though!

@@mooseymoose would love to get my hands on one for a review. I’ve heard good things about them..
@@LucasHaneman I would say just buy one. Franklin String Works has some for $650 on Reverb. Totally worth it.
