im a 60 year old that only just started playing fifa for 2-3 years on and off, and the 41212 is by far the most effective formation for me, its no big achievement for most but i managed to fly into div 6 very comfortably, i havent seen your tactics yet so i will definately watch it , but i find that having a speedy striker on poacher and the 2nd striker as balanced helped me alot, and the cam is messi who just passes the ball perfectly and is easy to dribble with , i also found that the CB's were covering LB and RB positions too often when i put the FBs up the ground so i have left them at stay back Fullbacks which has then balanced the CBs
Its my favourite narrow formation I do switch between that and 4-2-2-2 quite a lot, I like them both and have different use cases. Div 6 is good, dont forget the game just started. Try focusing on putting the FB on stay back but then you lose the width if they dont go forward
@@NealGuides i have my RCM on attack and he (its a she) forms a triangle with the cam and striker so i sort of have 4 fwds i do sometimes trigger the RB to come fwd to help though , but the counter is deadly lol

Your 4-2-2-2 formation is similar to mine but I'm using one striker as false 9 and one cam as half winger, both cdm as deep lying playmakers, that 3-2-4-1 when attacking is amazing and defensively you always have the cdms close to defenders, I'm playing great football rn, also it's so important to get players with role + or ++, they move different on the pitch

which of the two (poacher and advanced forward) do you change to a false 9? i find that having a player like de bruyne as a roaming playmaker, he just hugs the touch line. maybe half winger would work better. i also find with 45 depth that 75% of the goals i concede is a simple counter and 1 through ball. even with gravenberch and patri on holding and dlp defend. any ideas?

I am playing formations that have wingers now because I dont want to lose the ability to use them in my squad. What should I do? Chat could reply aswell!

Yall will learn there is NO meta formation. There might be meta styles of play but not META FORMATIONS. every tactic has a counter tactic. Depending on the opponents approach you must adapt your tactics. Thats why people are running to defensive formations thinking its meta lol. I cant wait to see new players come to the PRO scene just because they are better at adapting tactically every match.
What div you in buddy because I’m sitting in div 2 and playing a 4-2-1-3 / 4-4-2 and I am getting absolutely fked by 5 back rats that can sit there and defend all game and score a header from a corner 😊. You simply can’t beat the defensive structure of a 5 back especially when defenders like araujo and van dijk take all the joy out of cheesing trivelas and finesse with block play style. Literally all the goals I have scored against those kinds of formations is strictly based on my opponent fking up a pass or by getting very lucky with a press.
@@anthonygopeesingh7645 when they play a 541 against you again, since you play a 442 try it like this 2 strikers advance forwards 2 wingers balanced 2 playmakers attacking/box to box 1 fullback defend 1 falseback defend Or 2 falsebacks defend make sure to not rush cz you have an overload for good settled attacks
Does anyone know if it matters if i play a player out of position? I packed untradeable Mo Salah, but he can only play RM or RW. In the past you could just switch formations in game without affecting the player or chem on the player. But i think that changed this year. So im kind of stuck using formations with a rm or rw. So no 4222 or 4321...
Don't worry, part one is accepting that it's not the formation it's you, that's the hardest step, the second step is now looking at your gameplay always ask yourself am I doing what neal is telling me, Keep it basic the fundamentals is all you need remember
