s/o youtube for putting you on my algorithm because these japan vlogs have been super interesting and makes me wanna solo japan! it looked like a lot of fun and definitely something i want to try and accomplish before 2026. did you have trouble taking the trains? i think this (along with a language barrier at times) would have to be one of my biggest struggles and fears with japan. i've only ever heard people say how they were confused and it would sometimes take them up to 30 min to an hour to figure out which exit/train to take. other than that, watching your series makes me feel more comfortable and more assured within myself that i could solo travel too!!
So glad my vlogs have inspired you!! Pretty much about 90% of the time I didn’t have trouble figuring out the subway system. There’s a lot of English signage and in the trains they tell you in English which stops are coming/where to transfer, so I actually found it foreign- friendly. The only stations where you might have more problems are BIG stations (Shibuya, Shinjuku, or maybe the bullet trains that go from city to city). My rule of thumb was to always just find the nearest/first exit out of the station because figuring out maps is much easier when you’re above ground/out of the station. That being said Google Maps is the way to go! Navigation is very easy to understand from it and you’ll pick it up fine. Thank you for the kind words and support! ❤️
