    There is a new model coming out it's the Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro model H706C. I am currently testing them out. Biggest difference I see is they come in a 60m or 196', this is what they sent me vs the 150'. Also they are able to be spliced. They sent some connectors to allow the splicing. So far so good.

      @jeves360 Do you have the specs on the pro version? I'm an electrician so I'm comfortable cutting/extending the original strand. If there is no difference I'll just buy the original ones which are on sale

    • @jeves360
      @jeves360 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hbfarmstead8031 unfortunately no, I reached out and asked them for more info for my "review" and got nothing. They look exactly the same as the current model. I am guessing beefier power supply as it comes in a 200' model vs the 150' max from before. Maybe a little brighter but no way to tell unless side by side.

    Very well done and informative video. I installed a set these on the upper roof line of our house a few weeks ago. I did, however, get additional clear clips (one clip within an inch or so of each LED and one half-way between to prevent cord sag) and all clips are screwed in to the aluminum soffit.

    • @Ayesuh

      @@32toddv idk what you did wrong then, cause i got 3m tape everywhere and i actually had some on the wall to hold a clip id put the dog leash on which i didnt clean, and it held up to her tugging when she was 15lbs, when she got close to 20lbs she pulled the clip off the wall, WITH some drywall and i aint ever clean the wall clip
      I had the 3m tape holding led strips on my motorcycle and they survived getting soaked in gas, oil, and rain without ever even starting to peel off, and boy were those hard to rip off when the chinese leds died out, and the strips were caked in so much oil and dirt that they were no longer visible
      We at the shop had what was probably about 20yr old 3m tape holding on those smoker's window guards on an old vette and the only way we could get them off was with a razorblade for the bulk and paint thinner for the rest (the paint thinner couldnt ever eat factory clearcoat, but would strip off spraypaint)
      So bud, i have NO clue what your problem was..... perhaps you didnt allow it to dry out enough or perhaps you had bad tape.... if they sit in a warehouse long enough the humidity kills the adhesive, but only if it hadnt been applied to a surface, which got me some refunds in the past on old led kits which were never sticky enough to ever even stick

    I like the product but am not willing to install them unless I can hide the cords between the bulbs. Does anyone have a recommendation for an aluminum or vinyl track? I recognize a track would need to have holes drilled for each bulb but I'm willing to do that to hide the cords. I will paint the track to match my soffit color.

      Was curious if you found anything? I had a customer who had this exact thing and thought it looked so much nicer. But they had no clue where the electricians they hired got them from. I have hardie plank siding. So I highly doubt this 3M strip will hold at all. So I've basically accepted I'll have to staple or screw the cable down
