The remote you can program manually. And you can take a used one from an other car.

I have W203 C270CDI 2001.
Because of an electricity leak in the Dashboard, it was changed with perhaps a second-hand one from another W203.
The change was made in Mercedes dealership service.
The problem is that after the change - the "new" dashboard doesn't show the mileage of the car.( Its in kilometers in Europe)
The dashboard shows only ------.
How can I make the dashboard showing my car's mileage ?

Hello. As I know the dealership do not change second-hand parts. I think it must be synchronized with the ignition switch. But I am not sure.
