#cotopaxi

2024-01-28 Chose between Cotopaxi Allpa 28L ($170) vs 35L Del Dia ($195) for a 2-week trip. Even with a load of about 9-10 lbs (see the list below) not including the bag itself, both were uncomfortable to wear (tried walking only 0.75 mile with each in light rain), which was very disappointing because I love both bags’ design, space, materials used and colors. The shoulder straps, chest/sternum straps, and waist straps did not fit me well. After walking with both bags carry a relatively light load for such a short distance, my shoulders and back felt “tired”. For this trip, I will likely use my 7-year old but super reliable Dakine Mission Photo 25L backpack instead.

Nah, I will take the Cotopaxi Alpa any day of the week.

I wish it worked out for me too as I liked its colors and design, but its fit just did not work out for me.
