Love your work Ross!!! Learning so much just watching you. Did paint the red hibiscus and Magnolia after watching your tutorial. Did a decent job.
    Thank you once again!!

I just discovered your channel and love watching you paint with so much patience and understanding of the medium. I so wish my mom was alive to watch this. She studied oils & pastels at Ecole des Beaux Arts in Montreal during the 1940"s and never got to learn how to paint in watercolors. I guess that's the reason I am so intrigued - you have taught so much ;)

I love the style on the flower. The winsor yellow and winsor red fade into each other just perfect. I use Da Vinci Red, but it is same pigment as WR, and I have found PR254 to be quite consistent across most brands, so I do plan to try it. Thanks as well showing how you clean your mask needles out. I seriously have probably 10 empty bottles of masquepen that I always say I am going to clean out but get frustrated trying to get them clean. I will definitely try the Windex or Amonia though. I have used Goo Gone in the past, but if you dont get that stuff rinsed perfectly from the bottles or needle, it just completely breaks down the mask into a mess. I do hope you continue to post these demos as you find time. Thanks again!

Hi Adam, I also have a bunch of clogged needles. In class one day I was going crazy looking for just one bottle with an unclogged needle when the 'light bulb" went off in my head with this simple solution.

Where is part 3 of orange hibiscus ? I love your watercolor videos.
Very detailed yet free flowing. Being an advanced beginner I feel inspired yet not overwhelmed.
    Thank you.

I just discovered you! I have been a beginner for a while and get frustrated about the wet-on-wet technique. Your explanations are so clear and precise. I love how you break down the lesson. This also gives me time to take notes and practice after each segment. I'll definitely check out your channel and your website.
What is the name of the container that you put your masking fluid in? I would love to get one for me!
    Thanks so much!

Best leaf instruction I have seen. What are you using to tape down your paper?

    • @realisticart

I stretched the watercolor the traditional way, and I'll be posting a video on the method. For tape I used gummed
Kraft Paper Tape that I bought at Dick Blick.
