While I’ll admit I immediately got into Loona once the OEC girls started showing up but I’ve gone back to the 1/3 girls and the unit and I am in love them! Also heejins vivid was everything and had me keep my eye on loona. Stan loona means Stan them all because they’re all so talented and 1/3 is not boring, not everything needs to be an edgy pop banger. They’re gorgeous voices, gorgeous concept, visual and yes sonatine is that track.
Yeojin confirmed herself that she is a member of 1/3 which apparently was told to her by the Director. She represents the '/' in 1/3. Some people have asked why, and my interpretation is this. The '3' in 1/3 represents the first three girls and the '1' represents Vivi. This corresponds with their debut numbering. So why is it 1/3 instead of 3/1? I've got two reasons. The first and easiest explanation is that they represent pretty much a third of the whole group. The second reason is because Vivi is the oldest and as per Korean culture she would have the right to be first in many ways.
I'm honestly confused at the distinction. If you're a part of the sub-unit, you are by definition _in_ it. But as per the explained age + issues concerning Yeojin, she isn't promoting this time around which is another big symbol of being the '/' of the group. But that just means she wasn't present this time around. With a Loona debut, she will be active in that capacity and I assume that when next 1/3 promotes more will be explained both via storyline and commentary.

The reason I'm confused by people labeling her as a member of 1/3 is because BBC always write in their descriptions that 1/3 consists of HeeJin, HyunJin, HaSeul and ViVi only. Even in the Cinema Theory and Premier Greeting tickets, YeoJin was seen on her own, seperated from 1/3. I get the explanation as to why YeoJin isn't a member of 1/3 (rumors of her flunking her exams) but I don't see why people label her as a member. When BBC clearly doesn't. And by the way, I don't mean any hate towards YeoJin, I just want to justify that she isn't a part of 1/3 unless BBC or the girls themselves say so.

Omitting her name from descriptions is a way of minimizing confusion, especially in regards to those who aren't aware of the complexities that walk hand in hand with Loona. But to continue explanation on my opinion of the slash, I don't think it represents an absence but rather a 'split'. She is the marker 'between' the last member of 1/3 and the first three. Thus 1/3. She is the maknae, this a smaller symbol but much like the Loona concept overall, much of the group's nature relies on long term plans and it is highly unlikely that they would maintain Yeojin as the absent member of 1/3. She is the member on hold.
i mean i would kinda disagree with the “1/3 didn’t get a whole lot of lore” idea. i completely get where you’re coming from and i agree that BBC didn’t have a full plan, but the vivid mv was packed w lore! or at least eggs of what was to come (maybe bc she’s a bunny)

Their concept (to me) isn't boring at all. I don't listen to there music as much but I really should. Their sound is honestly a different feeling for me. I'm not used to the light and calming side of K-Pop yet I am more used to things like red velvet and CLC or hyuna when it comes to girl solos and groups. They are all so beautiful and talented and I can't wait to start stanning 1/3 just as much as I do oec and yyxy!

don't be disrespectful, 1/3 is talented and has accomplished way more as a subunit such as going on mixnine and being models for ad campaigns, if you want to compare sub units. bbc gave 1/3 the most budget towards their music videos, and they're more musically interesting and carefully produced. odd eye circle is typical future bass, r&b, and other western music.
