Man, I was wondering how you were upscaling the quality of the original tracks until I realized these are straight up remakes. They feel so faithful to the originals that I couldn't even tell at first.
The secret ingredient here is using the source instrument samples (maybe even the full instrument patches, gotta ask irikachana for that one). Sequenced videogame music is 98% of the time (rough estimate) made up of samples from Keyboards, Synths, Romplers, etc but then get compressed in whatever way to fit the limitations of the hardware. Every single instrument sample the game uses gets sourced through sometimes months or even years of searching through old synths or VSTs, etc. Have you found and confirmed all of the sample sources through audio analyzation, you go and extract the music sequence data out of the game but throw out the instrument samples the game uses and replace them with their respective sources. That gets normally done within a DAW or tracker of choice. Optionally Apply some audio mastering and maybe mixing magic and voila!

Always loved this theme, so unnervingly funky and that strange droning chiptuney? sounding part is soooo good! Love to hear a restoration of Unsettling Preserve in the future, another yummy forest track!!
I used to listen to this song on loop while working my very first part-time job - it was in the middle of the summer and it was so hot! This brings back memories from around then. Summer 2014!

from an Ensoniq ROMpler we currently don't know the name of (the one i used is sampled from the Ensoniq MR Rack, & patch is called "Steel Pad") unless you're referring to the mute played guitar, then that's from the SC-8850 (SC-55 Map)
hi! so i am making a MOTHER fangame (just for fun and as a hobby, i wont make money out of it) and was wondering if i could use these restorations on it! i would credit you and the original composer of course if given a yes. if not i super understand also!! just thought i'd ask!!
@@irikachana thank you! your restorations are REALLY freaking good! any place you have where i could get these other than downloading them from TH-cam itself? maybe with the looping intact instead of fading out at the end? i could always edit the ending out to make it loop seemlessly but just wondering if theres an easier way
sorry, i can't be as positive as everyone else here. the instrumentation and balancing is off and the main part that kicks in at 0:47 sounds terrible. i don't want to be overly critical, obviously this was made with care, but there are too many differences for this to be considered a "restoration" of the original.

oh my god Murasaki Forest in cd quality, is the thing my life needed
I just realized this is a remix of “somewhere, someday” SICK!

One of my favorite tracks in the ost

Winter 2014
One of my favorite tracks in the game. It perfectly captures a “dangerous area” vibe.
This one of my favorites themes of the game
Been listening to this one song on repeat during work for the past week. That guitar sample makes it sound heavenly to listen to
Your restorations are always fantastic!
The baseline is even funkier now!
Couldn't get any better.
Thankful I stumbled upon this channel, it’s great!
And so are you!
Wild Chimeras await you in the scenic Murasaki Forest
if you listen closely you can hear the fingertips of the composer on fire, along with the whole forest later
Very very nice! This must have been a great and painstaking work, and you've done it wonderfully. Restorations like these are no joke!
This game has always filled me with the greatest sense of nostalgia. Even when I picked it up brand new in 2006 in Japan. I can't explain why.
Dang this one sounds great, Murasaki Forest was always such an underrated track
One of the best songs of Mother 3, thank u TwT
This version is something I never thought I'd expect! This is fantastic!
I think this is my favorite restoration so far
The reverb on this is amazing
Great work with the restoration. These Restored songs are probably the best way to listen to the mother 3 soundtrack!
This song is so many moods all at once it's great
Woah this is gorgeous
Am I the only one who feels this track has a kinda Rayman-ish vibe?
THE BEST SONG IN THE GAME RESTORED 👍👍👍👍👍
Yo, this song is such a banger.
Sounds very goldeneye tbh.
No comments? Bruh this ost is good
Todos los días vengo aquí a relajarme tremendo temaso
Voy a comentar aquí casi todos los días hasta que TH-cam no me lo recomiende

I always pictured these restorations as if it was ported to the gamecube
the game actually has GB Player support

THANK YOU!
muy buen trabajo
Nice!
Somehow, I imagine Method Man and Redman rapping on this tune.
Love those 3 guitar notes. What kind of electric guitar even is that?
Fret bass
it’s actually, a picked bass of some sort I think. In the Mother 3 soundfont it’s called “Bass 1”
I would love to get a hold of this for personal listening offline. Please and thanks.
0:04 where does that effect come from that in the midi channel is tango accordion?
What exactly does restoration mean? Either way, this sounds great. Kinda like how I imagine it would sound if not limited by the GBAs hardware.

What soundfont player program(s) are used for these restorations? It sounds very nice.
this is really good! where do you find these samples from?
what types of systems do you use to make these, like online websites or actually instruments? actually instruments would be sick!
what's the source for the panned electric guitar sound? was it SC8850 or JV1080 ?
