I think the scariest thing about gtfo is that the oppressive dark, low visibility and the fact that the enemies get pissed off by flashlights makes it so that if you get detected you have no idea on whether the game's just gonna send just 4 or 5 sleepers at you or if a tidal wave of gnashing teeth and flailing tentacles will emerge from the shadows and converge on you and your buddies..
Cannot believe this absolute banger of a combat track is completely gone from the final product and replaced by the most godawful orchestral noise known to man. 10CC dropped the ball so hard on this game.
im guessing they decided actual combat music would be too loud with how important being able to hear whats happening is in game so they switched to full ambient tracks
0:56 is just fucking beautiful. I don't know what it is about it. The repetitive beats manifesting just how dire the situation is, or if it's just the beat drop all together. Lovely.
you know they are somewhere there, coming for you...but you dont know where they gonna come from... 0:30,you feel like they should be here by now... ,,Its gonna get darker before dawn!'' [ 0:44 ] and you suddenly hear door break behind you in the distance.. ,,WE GOT ABOUT 5 SECONDS BEFORE THIS DOOR GIBS!''
The battle not particularly bast your ears off but it's that perfect tense music in a fight against hordes of shrieking and crawling creatures that bring more panic and unease.
You are playing as a stoic christian fanatic, a human trafficking experimenter, a cold-blooded peacekeeper, and a mentally unstable researcher. Despite that reality, this music turns you into a warrior.
Ngl, when I heard Simon Viklund was gonna be composing for this game, I was a bit skeptical since Payday 2 is more kickass action like while this is horror. I'm glad Imwas wrong, Simon Viklund never fails. Oh, and the drop at 0:55 is so orgasmic, it had my heartbeat in tandem with the beats.
NOW I KNOW WHAT IT IS! It reminds me of that One Scene where Lisa Is running in that one episode from The Simpsons. I think it's Trilogy Of Error. Music is Great by the way. Not sure why it reminded me of that one scene.

Wait, they dropped this? I haven’t played for a while but this soundtrack was such a good fit.
What’s the new soundtrack?

Imagine if an alarm door took you more than 6 minutes to unlock; just so that you can listen to this amazing headbanger.
lmao
R7C3 if I remember correctly. 15 minutes of permanent fighting
That would be one hell of a fight.
0:55 has to be the best part of the whole ost
Has like a payday beat I love it.
Or feels like something from Warhammer death korps of kreg soundtrack.
“What the hell is that”
“Oh god! It’s in the vents!”
“Get it off! Get it-“
END OF TRANSMISSION
Hearing that growling drop at 0:56 echo through the facility was horrifying
"DON'T WASTE YOUR SHOTS!"
Best part about that is if the head pops you’ll be implied on a tounge
"ON ME, GOT A BIOSCAN!" 0:54

Get ready lads… HERE THEY COME!!
Which trailer is this from?
Dude, 0:56 had my heart goin in tandem with the beats... wtf
Yeah me too, best part of the ost.
What about 2:52
I love the intense feeling the song gives you it gives you the feeling to GTFO
This plays when I haven't done my chores and I hear the garage door open

When you are finishing your homework while the teacher is collecting it from the class

[ caution ] [DANGER]
You know, now that I think about it, Simon Viklund would've been perfect for a WarHammer40k horror game OST, like Darktide for example.
This has to be the best chase music
“Clear.”
“NOT CLEAR! NOT CLEAR! FUCK!”
"That door won't hold forever!"
"I'm F****in' bleedin' out, help me.."
IT’S GONNA GET DARKER BEFORE DAWN !

ooof that is so good
Wow, this is different to what Simon has done in the past
I always get Resi Evil vibes from the combat tracks in this game
This and Black Impact from the RE2 remake could be swapped and both would fit the scenario
I think this is the best version on YT so far. Did you recorded it or found it in game files? Thanks for uploading!
Yeah I haven't heard a good portion of this track! Awesome stuff
@Lonely Pluto Ah, funny, this is the one in the game.
he got this from Data mining, he mentioned it in another video.
Best soundtrack
They're there. Somewhere in the dark they're there...

simon on top
Late reply, but it also fits with the footsteps of the bigger enemies, their unsteady, but rapid, pace to close distance.
Oh God... Here they come.
Jesus Christ it reminds me so much of Payday The Heist's sound track. Simon really sold himself with this
0:50
ON ME, ON ME!!!
The 2:52 is just 0:56 but better
Idk which is worse:
Not knowing who woke up and where they're coming from or not knowing how many are coming

I feel bad for the creatures. They just wanted to take a nap.
I feel bad for the soldiers yo they just wanted to sneak past but got absolutely mauled
Rundown 6 doesn't have this theme sadly, Wonder if i could replace the rundown 6 combat theme with this.
Kinda sounds like something from the Alien movies
Bro what the hell, this music is great! Why do I only hear the most boring bits in game though? It feels so repetitive
Why is she the only one now?…
Why they changed it
The same reason the rundown changes
