Felix's reactions are actually really common, there's multiple studies that say the closer something looks like a real human, the more creepy the brain thinks it is, because it knows it's not alive. So it turns to aggression because we just wanna destroy it lol
I have a less intense reaction than Felix, when I am with another person. If left alone with a life like doll....yeah don't do that. The only dolls I have found myself with the reaction 'it's a doll' are Monster High dolls, just because they aren't ment to be life like humans. Just about every other doll I feel the need to destroy it, or close it away some where.

Going to a hospital to look at babies that aren't in your family seems really creepy to me. They must be afraid that she will kidnap one.
especially because things like that have happened several times. It's sad that some women want a baby and can't have one for whatever reason, but they need help to cope, obsessing over other babies can actually lead to slippery slopes where they forget themselves so even something that is mildly "innocent" has to be taken seriously :(

Also, I've seen there's a TH-cam lady that plays with her dolls daily like they're real, and she HAS real small children too. So it's just fun for some people.
One of my close friends in school used to make these realistic baby dolls. Once I ran into her at a craft show where she was selling homemade baby clothes and she said “hey, wanna see one of the babies I’m working on?” And I said yes. She proceeded to pull what looked like a newborn baby, from a backpack, by the leg and everyone standing within a certain distance were absolutely horrified, and I found it absolutely hilarious

Okay quick story here. I worked with a girl in a Children's Hospital who was just like this, obsessed with realistic baby dolls. She'd spend $300+ on them and buy real baby clothes to dress them. She acted like they were her real children and would show me pictures of them on her phone at work. I knew something wasn't quite right about her the moment she told me she collected realistic dolls, then I found out they were realistic baby dolls and we work in a Children's Hospital, it just got too weird for me. Especially when she would show me her pictures and one time she accidentally swiped too fast and a picture of the baby's butt popped up, she swiped out of it so fast and I was so disturbed. My other coworker told me she even had her own Instagram page that she dedicated to showing off her "babies" how the hell did she get that Children's Hospital job??

@Styx Demetrius yes they do, I know a lady who lost her daughter to SIDS at about 3 weeks and she had one made from the pictures of her baby. The doll looked JUST like the real baby. It was the creepiest thing I ever did see, but I guess it helped her so there's that?
This is a business. Their called reborn dolls and my mom made them. Costs atleast $300 for a 3-6 month old but prices vary
My ex gf, her mom and sisters had a creepy obsession with realistic dolls called reborns.
They had instagram accounts for each one, walked with them in public and even talked about them like they were real to others. All of them were 18+ too.
I thought it was an innocent hobby at first but it got creepier and creepier, long story short, they were crazy af especially the mom. One night I got up to get water and the mom was talking to one of her dolls in the darkness by herself at like 3 am and acted like it responded.
I know some get them to cope with losing a baby but this family was something completely different, I won't go into details but it still today several years later creeps me out about some things they did.

As someone who used to customize dolls, I’m bummed she didn’t share her process or what paint she uses. Acrylics and model paints are a no go on rubber. I’ve yet to find paint that works as well as whatever she’s using here.
Also both work well on vinyl kits ❤️
It’s usually genesis heat set paint, or you can use air dry acrylic if you dilute them with glass and tile medium and distilled water. I do a ton of doll customizing. This is vinyl but silicone dolls would need silicone paint.

I feel like Felix is experiencing uncanny valley. I feel the same way about certain dolls or video games. It freaks you out and your first thought is to get away or destroy it.

Uncanny valley has happened to me when looking at certain robots, dolls, movies, even some art pieces.
I usually get very nervous or scared by the item and have to leave or feel a intense desire to get rid of it.
