Think of the glass like a metaphor for a bad relationship. She took it all in and there was alot of darkness that came with it. Now she's trying to get out of it, to let it go and heal. So she's crying all of that darkness out of her while her heart breaks and spills out all over the floor. That's how I always saw it. :)
