It’s become apparent in your videos that you put as much love and skill into your project as the original builders all those years ago. In fact the way you take your time picking out the best stone for the job makes me think you were there in a previous life doing just that!
I have been following your restoration of this historical site since the beginning, and with great fascination. I get ridiculously excited to see a new post! Keep them up! Love from Southern California😊
Always glad to see an upload from you on the progress. I very much enjoy watching the history unearthed and the time you take to repair or reuse it. Keep up the good work my friend!
Hello. It has been a while. Those tree roots, Oh Boy !! Chain Saw all the way. The Steps and Path are just Brilliant. You did some of your best work here !! I can't wait to see what else is buried beneath the dirt in the surrounding area.
Noticed this only yesterday... Only after binge-watching, have I realized the enormous amount of work involved. I'd love to see some of the countryside in the surrounding area. I'm a native of the center area of the USA, so I've never seen anything of Wales, although my genes are all about that area of the world. Very interesting.
I've been loving this transformation since you began. Having recently had to deal with tree roots on another phase of a project here at home, I can relate to your struggles. My project isn't historic, like yours is, or as extensive. But that tree you overcame had to go! It came along well after the original stonework, and was very destructive. Good for you for your tenacity.
The older you get the more you realize that at its core, this is what life is about. Loving and taking care of your family, building and maintaining stuff. Thats our purpose.
it’s difficult to just sit here and watch you work so hard. I’m 70 but would want to help if I lived nearby. The steps are so beautiful I cried! I hope you are feeling immense satisfaction 👏.
You are, or have become due to this project, an excellent mason! And you’re going to have the coolest garden on Earth when it’s all said and done. I just know you’re going to find a tunnel that leads to a different world!❤️🤗🐝
All that hard work has paid off. What a truly amazing transformation. Thank you for sharing this experience with us. I hope you have given yourself a big pat on the back.
It looks amazing, you are really good with the stonework. Your family must be surprised by what you've unearthed in the old family garden. Love watching.👍❤️
What a difference. You should be pleased with your achievement. Getting rid of those trees was a lot of work. At the entrance to the stair it looks like windows in the wall were filled with very large stones.
I feel for you!! Saw blades in the dirt don't last long and tree roots go everywhere. Tons of hard work but what an beautiful (and much safer) final result.
This transformation is so amazing. It looks clean and structurally sound also while looking ancient. Right above the ledge, on either side of the stairs it would look beautiful with some planters and bright red flowers. I’d sit out there with my tea or coffee and a book. Heaven!
Looks great! A variable speed angle grinder with a steel wire cup wheel works amazingly for cleaning mortar off bricks and stone. Always look forward to seeing your progress.
You sure do have a lot of stamina! It's great watching the progress on your project and it is so worth the effort. Who knows what each shovelful may turn up?! You are doing a terrific job.
Another part of the jigsaw done and now onto the next one. Great series of videos this is even tho they are not as regular as they used to be. Keep up the good work can’t wait to see what you do next 👏👏👏👍
This is such a pretty place because you have done so much to it. Your stone work is so good. This could be an area where you could restore the stone work and build a house there. Great job.
I think you came along just in time before those stairs started slipping and crumbling down. You opened a can of worms finding those giant roots under and over the pathway. But you persevered and slayed those gnarly roots. The original builders would be proud that you came along to properly repair and maintain their work. Excellent craftsman still exists. TY for sharing your masterpiece. 👍 Sending encouragement from U.S.A. 🇺🇸
Amazing work you're doing there, lad. All by hand as well. Other than the chainsaw and the reciprocating saw, it's all by hand and manual tools. Great work! I'm looking forward to seeing more when you have the time.
Watching you work is inspiring. Though our property has no old ruins to dig out, it requires almost daily attention as there are 80 yr old oak trees, constantly shedding leaves and branches. I want to keep the remnant of a very old (horse-drawn) logging trail visible. From watching your efforts, I have several ideas on what to put in the middle of our wee open woodland and have researched what native plants to add. Deer walk through every day, to and from the river to drink. The appearance of another video from you is a surprise "Happy Day" present.
This project has a bit of everything. Archeology, restoration, construction, and just plain hard work. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent entertainment as well. I enjoy watching all the projects he works on, even pressure washing a family members patio a while back 👍

This looks like the magical entrance to some unexpected side quest. ❤
This chanel is a side quest, I'm sure it's the plot line of an epic fantasy novel; I was digging in my garden when....
Love what you're doing! The tree didn't win! Can't wait to see what is next.
😂👍
No it didn't haha. The tree is next in fact, making the stump in to something.
low key one of the few times TH-cam recommendations actually shows me something I'd enjoy watching.
ikr, often YT is like bleaghdsfhlsfdh and I get tired of clicking don't recommend and just close and go do something else.
I don't know why, but your videos feel very comforting for me, and I really need it, so thanks!
I am happy to hear that. thank you
That turned out great, that place must have been so whimsical when it was first made and you’re bringing it back
It’s become apparent in your videos that you put as much love and skill into your project as the original builders all those years ago. In fact the way you take your time picking out the best stone for the job makes me think you were there in a previous life doing just that!

Same here
Me as well 💕
Enthralled in Oregon 🤗
Thanks, glad you're still watching. I'm still plugging away at it!
This video series is one of the coolest things. Thanks for sharing for all of us to enjoy.
so much hard work! Incredibly satisfying to watch ... thank you 😀
Totally impressed. It's come a long way with your blood sweat and toil. Give yourself a hearty pat on the back. Job well done.
Truly Magical! I was waiting for the fairies or gnomes to appear around the tree stump!
Incredible transformation 😊 I love how chill your videos are to watch, though I’m sure they don’t feel quite so relaxing to do 😂
Thanks. It's definitely relaxing to do, takes total focus so you forget about other things.
Always glad to see an upload from you on the progress. I very much enjoy watching the history unearthed and the time you take to repair or reuse it. Keep up the good work my friend!
Great work. I've missed your videos. More please!
Thanks. I am working on it 😊
Hello. It has been a while. Those tree roots, Oh Boy !! Chain Saw all the way. The Steps and Path are just Brilliant. You did some of your best work here !!
I can't wait to see what else is buried beneath the dirt in the surrounding area.
Well…I’ve only watched you do all that and I’m exhausted! Great progress. You must feel very accomplished.
Beyond incredible!! Your work is top notch and your resolve is unparalleled!

Yeah roots cause so much damage.
A motivated individual can accomplish anything. Place gets better with every video
That entrance looks awesome, that was so lovely to watch, very tranquil 😃
Roots are so intrusive.

Thats our purpose.
Of course,
But Heaven is not Danish modern.....
What do we have on Earth for Jehovah Shammah?
Schmancy?
Always great videos! I click right away whenever I see that you posted. Loved it!
Wow! Great job of restoring the stairs and the upper landing. It looks so good.
I love the idea of restoring old stuff, even if its just a bunch of rocks assembled to a staircase
That looks flipping fantastic. What a workout. Blessings
That garden summer house area is really looking good now, great work.
Fantastic job. Looks amazing
Oh that tree!! Jeeze!!! Super super hard work to get nature out of the stone structure. It's amazing the results.
it’s difficult to just sit here and watch you work so hard. I’m 70 but would want to help if I lived nearby. The steps are so beautiful I cried! I hope you are feeling immense satisfaction 👏.
Thank you, I do feel very satisfied with it.
It's nice to feel safe on the stairs, thank you.
Love what you have done to the steps. It's all coming along nicely and I can't wait to see more.
Amazing and very hard work. The steps and pathway are now wonderful. Cannot wait to see what is next 👍👊👌
Given the size of the roots it must have been a long time since the path was used the last time. Impressive work.
You are, or have become due to this project, an excellent mason! And you’re going to have the coolest garden on Earth when it’s all said and done. I just know you’re going to find a tunnel that leads to a different world!❤️🤗🐝
Your channel literally came to my mind today... What an amazing surprise!
i love what you have acheived there...such a lot of work but well worth it such a special place,
This has been an Amazing Transformation from beginning to end.
Hard working young man and I’m loving the stairs.
It is really neat to see how far you've come with this restoration site over the years. Great job!
Bravo. You gave that stairway the respect it deserves.
Great job on the steps! Thank you for NO time lapse or music! They always ruin it. Keep up the excellent work.
Definitely a labour of Love........
TFS! It is so delightful to watch you uncover the past while making an amazing garden space. I appreciate your efforts
All that hard work has paid off. What a truly amazing transformation. Thank you for sharing this experience with us. I hope you have given yourself a big pat on the back.
This was quite the transformational video. It was very satisfying to watch this amount of progress. Well done!
its so gorgeous the work you are doing!
It looks amazing, you are really good with the stonework. Your family must be surprised by what you've unearthed in the old family garden. Love watching.👍❤️
I have been into this whole project from the beginning. It’s always special when I see a video is up. The stairs have turned out beautifully!
That looks amazing. It was a lot of hard work. Well done. Thanks a lot! 😉
That's a beautiful restoration of that side wall and the alignment of the stairs to the path to your hidden home! This is incredible!
amazing work! your grandfather would be proud to see your elbow grease and the work you can accomplish!
I really enjoyed sitting here watching you do so much hard work into rebuilding this piece of history.
You are doing a fine job my friend
That is genuinely breathtakingly beautiful
Perseverance, agility, attention to detail, patience, determination - all words that come to mind when I watch this.
Well done sir!
What a difference. You should be pleased with your achievement. Getting rid of those trees was a lot of work. At the entrance to the stair it looks like windows in the wall were filled with very large stones.
Just amazing! I love watching it all come together.
Heaven!
Thanks. I do have some plans for planters and maybe a herb garden too, possibly some lavender.
Wow!! You did an amazing job on the stairs! Thanks for sharing this adventure!
Great job, that was some hard graft well done👍
One man vs Nature vs Mankind. This looks great.
That’s well done. Glad to see you’ve invested in more tools!
Oh honey you must be so proud 💞 I only know you through your videos and I am proud and grateful to you 🙏
Looks great! A variable speed angle grinder with a steel wire cup wheel works amazingly for cleaning mortar off bricks and stone. Always look forward to seeing your progress.
This is genuinely the dream of every kid with an imagination who liked playing in the dirt and building things.
Wow it looks amazing, a lot of mud, sweat and a few beers gone into transforming it into what it is now.
I like it because I know that the kind of work you're doing is very difficult and everything turned out very nice.
You sure do have a lot of stamina! It's great watching the progress on your project and it is so worth the effort. Who knows what each shovelful may turn up?! You are doing a terrific job.
Fascinating to watch you work and keeping everything so aligned. Rule must be never put a stone walk or stairs close to a tree or vice versa.
Beautifully restored with such good workmanship.
Thank you for taking us with you on this rediscovery.
Very nice. Well done! What a wonderful at home get away space. ❤
Another part of the jigsaw done and now onto the next one. Great series of videos this is even tho they are not as regular as they used to be. Keep up the good work can’t wait to see what you do next 👏👏👏👍
Great job. That was worth all the labor, sweat and tears.
Haven't seen this work in such a long time, its nice to see the progress of the restoration going so beautifully even with a few roots in the way 😂
Amazing transformation, what patience you have, congratulations 🎉🎉
What a wonderful world we would live in if we all valued what was old instead what was new. So lovely to follow you.
I know nothing about masonry or making stairs, but that looks nice!
Thank you for sharing.
Hat's off to you Afon, what you've achieved is simply beautiful, it just gets better and better. Love watching you work.❤
Beautiful job on the stairs and what a fight with the tree but you are winning
Great work, greetings from Germany.
Beautiful and honest work. Love the project!
Wow! This was amazing to watch. Quite the labor of love! Blessings from the Great Pacific Northwest, Lakewood, Washington. 💛🖤💛
This is such a pretty place because you have done so much to it. Your stone work is so good. This could be an area where you could restore the stone work and build a house there. Great job.
Mate ,you’re a craftsman. Well done.
Secret garden at the top of the steps . Congrats Great job 👏🏽
Great job, thanks for taking us along.
Well done, rediscovering and revamping Welsh history. A magical thing.
I'm getting tired just watching you. :D
Beautiful man. Super cool project!
Good job! The whole area is becoming very magical.
I think you came along just in time before those stairs started slipping and crumbling down. You opened a can of worms finding those giant roots under and over the pathway. I love you bringing this beautiful home back to life ❤
Such lovely stonework! Enjoyed watching an artist at work-thank you!
This is very pretty! I cant wait too see what you do next. Thank you for keeping the cool styling of strong building patters
That looks amazing, well done

Most impressive, keep the determination going - I'm loving every bit of it
Looks so amazing!!
I was waiting for the dragon to walk around the corner. Very cool. Dude. Keep digging. We all love what you have done to the place.
Thanks. I will keep digging!
