It’s become apparent in your videos that you put as much love and skill into your project as the original builders all those years ago. In fact the way you take your time picking out the best stone for the job makes me think you were there in a previous life doing just that!
Always glad to see an upload from you on the progress. I very much enjoy watching the history unearthed and the time you take to repair or reuse it. Keep up the good work my friend!
Hello. It has been a while. Those tree roots, Oh Boy !! Chain Saw all the way. The Steps and Path are just Brilliant. You did some of your best work here !! I can't wait to see what else is buried beneath the dirt in the surrounding area.
I have been following your restoration of this historical site since the beginning, and with great fascination. I get ridiculously excited to see a new post! Keep them up! Love from Southern California😊
Noticed this only yesterday... Only after binge-watching, have I realized the enormous amount of work involved. I'd love to see some of the countryside in the surrounding area. I'm a native of the center area of the USA, so I've never seen anything of Wales, although my genes are all about that area of the world. Very interesting.
I've been loving this transformation since you began. Having recently had to deal with tree roots on another phase of a project here at home, I can relate to your struggles. My project isn't historic, like yours is, or as extensive. But that tree you overcame had to go! It came along well after the original stonework, and was very destructive. Good for you for your tenacity.
Wow! Amazing work, for a guy who says he’s not too clued up on what he’s doing, you seem to be winging it really well lol people would pay a lot of money and then some more to be able to have those steps! Great work mate! Already looking forward to the next video
The older you get the more you realize that at its core, this is what life is about. Loving and taking care of your family, building and maintaining stuff. Thats our purpose.
Another part of the jigsaw done and now onto the next one. Great series of videos this is even tho they are not as regular as they used to be. Keep up the good work can’t wait to see what you do next 👏👏👏👍
I hope you are proud of yourself. You should be. Just a really excellent job. Been following this project since the beginning. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you’ve put in to allow us to join you on your journey. I think you must have been a mason in a previous life. -All the best to you
What a difference. You should be pleased with your achievement. Getting rid of those trees was a lot of work. At the entrance to the stair it looks like windows in the wall were filled with very large stones.
All that hard work has paid off. What a truly amazing transformation. Thank you for sharing this experience with us. I hope you have given yourself a big pat on the back.
You are, or have become due to this project, an excellent mason! And you’re going to have the coolest garden on Earth when it’s all said and done. I just know you’re going to find a tunnel that leads to a different world!❤️🤗🐝
Looks great! A variable speed angle grinder with a steel wire cup wheel works amazingly for cleaning mortar off bricks and stone. Always look forward to seeing your progress.
It looks amazing, you are really good with the stonework. Your family must be surprised by what you've unearthed in the old family garden. Love watching.👍❤️
I feel for you!! Saw blades in the dirt don't last long and tree roots go everywhere. Tons of hard work but what an beautiful (and much safer) final result.
it’s difficult to just sit here and watch you work so hard. I’m 70 but would want to help if I lived nearby. The steps are so beautiful I cried! I hope you are feeling immense satisfaction 👏.
Watching you work is inspiring. Though our property has no old ruins to dig out, it requires almost daily attention as there are 80 yr old oak trees, constantly shedding leaves and branches. I want to keep the remnant of a very old (horse-drawn) logging trail visible. From watching your efforts, I have several ideas on what to put in the middle of our wee open woodland and have researched what native plants to add. Deer walk through every day, to and from the river to drink. The appearance of another video from you is a surprise "Happy Day" present.
You have said before that you've had no training for this but it must be in your DNA. Perhaps hundreds of years ago you were a stone mason. It comes instinctively to you. You are so creative and skilled. Looking forward to more. Thank you for sharing ❤.
This is such a pretty place because you have done so much to it. Your stone work is so good. This could be an area where you could restore the stone work and build a house there. Great job.
This transformation is so amazing. It looks clean and structurally sound also while looking ancient. Right above the ledge, on either side of the stairs it would look beautiful with some planters and bright red flowers. I’d sit out there with my tea or coffee and a book. Heaven!
This was definitely a labor of love job& man o man you should be so extremely proud of yourself.Beautiful work& look absolutely amazing. They will now go on to last hundreds of more years to come ❤🎉 Spectacular job. And those tree roots were massive
You are truly a very patient artist bringing a very old plot plan to a beautiful new life! You are building a foundation, stone by stone, to something really special. Maybe the ultimate wedding venue! It's so lovely already! You are doing an amazing job! Most people would have only dug so far and then filled it back in and called it a day. Lately most of the things I have watched to relax and unwind are not available anymore. It was a real treat to see you had a new video! Thank you!
Idea - build a part pergola, part covered cover with the walls airily framed to resemble a cottage. That way it is still open air but brings back the 'ghost' of the home that once stood.
This project has a bit of everything. Archeology, restoration, construction, and just plain hard work. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent entertainment as well. I enjoy watching all the projects he works on, even pressure washing a family members patio a while back 👍
@@girlnorthof60å😊
This looks like the magical entrance to some unexpected side quest. ❤
This chanel is a side quest, I'm sure it's the plot line of an epic fantasy novel; I was digging in my garden when....
Love what you're doing! The tree didn't win! Can't wait to see what is next.
😂👍
No it didn't haha. The tree is next in fact, making the stump in to something.
I don't know why, but your videos feel very comforting for me, and I really need it, so thanks!
I am happy to hear that. thank you
low key one of the few times TH-cam recommendations actually shows me something I'd enjoy watching.
ikr, often YT is like bleaghdsfhlsfdh and I get tired of clicking don't recommend and just close and go do something else.
This video series is one of the coolest things. Thanks for sharing for all of us to enjoy.
Great work. I've missed your videos. More please!
Thanks. I am working on it 😊
Totally impressed. It's come a long way with your blood sweat and toil. Give yourself a hearty pat on the back. Job well done.
That looks flipping fantastic. What a workout. Blessings
Beyond incredible!! Your work is top notch and your resolve is unparalleled!
It’s become apparent in your videos that you put as much love and skill into your project as the original builders all those years ago. In fact the way you take your time picking out the best stone for the job makes me think you were there in a previous life doing just that!

Always great videos! I click right away whenever I see that you posted. Loved it!

I can't wait to see what else is buried beneath the dirt in the surrounding area.
Amazing and very hard work. The steps and pathway are now wonderful. Cannot wait to see what is next 👍👊👌
I have been following your restoration of this historical site since the beginning, and with great fascination. I get ridiculously excited to see a new post! Keep them up! Love from Southern California😊
Same here
Me as well 💕
Enthralled in Oregon 🤗
Thanks, glad you're still watching. I'm still plugging away at it!
That turned out great, that place must have been so whimsical when it was first made and you’re bringing it back
Truly Magical! I was waiting for the fairies or gnomes to appear around the tree stump!
Какие молодцы!❤❤❤
Без спешки,без психа----спокойно,с душой работают❤
Будьте здоровы,ребята❤❤❤❤
Well…I’ve only watched you do all that and I’m exhausted! Great progress. You must feel very accomplished.
Oh honey you must be so proud 💞 I only know you through your videos and I am proud and grateful to you 🙏
Definitely a labour of Love........
Incredible transformation 😊 I love how chill your videos are to watch, though I’m sure they don’t feel quite so relaxing to do 😂
Thanks. It's definitely relaxing to do, takes total focus so you forget about other things.
That entrance looks awesome, that was so lovely to watch, very tranquil 😃
Roots are so intrusive.

Yeah roots cause so much damage.
I am mesmerized by guys building stone walls!

Wow! This was amazing to watch. Quite the labor of love! Blessings from the Great Pacific Northwest, Lakewood, Washington. 💛🖤💛
Well done, rediscovering and revamping Welsh history. A magical thing.
I'm getting tired just watching you. :D
Wow! Great job of restoring the stairs and the upper landing. It looks so good.
Wow! Amazing work, for a guy who says he’s not too clued up on what he’s doing, you seem to be winging it really well lol people would pay a lot of money and then some more to be able to have those steps! Great work mate! Already looking forward to the next video
Such lovely stonework! Enjoyed watching an artist at work-thank you!

Of course,
But Heaven is not Danish modern.....
What do we have on Earth for Jehovah Shammah?
Schmancy?

Love what you have done to the steps. It's all coming along nicely and I can't wait to see more.
I hope you are proud of yourself. You should be. Just a really excellent job. Been following this project since the beginning. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you’ve put in to allow us to join you on your journey.
I think you must have been a mason in a previous life.
-All the best to you
Thank you!
I really enjoyed sitting here watching you do so much hard work into rebuilding this piece of history.
You are doing a fine job my friend
Given the size of the roots it must have been a long time since the path was used the last time. Impressive work.
You are so fortunate to have found something so wonderful. You courage to undertake the reclamation of this beautiful structure. It's so beautiful
What a difference. You should be pleased with your achievement. Getting rid of those trees was a lot of work. At the entrance to the stair it looks like windows in the wall were filled with very large stones.
Just amazing! I love watching it all come together.
All that hard work has paid off. What a truly amazing transformation. Thank you for sharing this experience with us. I hope you have given yourself a big pat on the back.
Looks so amazing!!
Wow! You did an amazing job! It’s beautiful
Beautiful man. Super cool project!
Your channel literally came to my mind today... What an amazing surprise!
Fascinating to watch you work and keeping everything so aligned. Rule must be never put a stone walk or stairs close to a tree or vice versa.
I love you bringing this beautiful home back to life ❤
A motivated individual can accomplish anything. Place gets better with every video
Beautiful job on the stairs and what a fight with the tree but you are winning
That's a beautiful restoration of that side wall and the alignment of the stairs to the path to your hidden home! This is incredible!
TFS! It is so delightful to watch you uncover the past while making an amazing garden space. I appreciate your efforts
Great update Afon. Great work!
That garden summer house area is really looking good now, great work.
You are, or have become due to this project, an excellent mason! And you’re going to have the coolest garden on Earth when it’s all said and done. I just know you’re going to find a tunnel that leads to a different world!❤️🤗🐝
Makes you appreciate the original workers !
Yes, very hard work, and zero power tools available.
amazing work! your grandfather would be proud to see your elbow grease and the work you can accomplish!
Beautiful transformation.
I love everything ancient ruins.
Looks great! A variable speed angle grinder with a steel wire cup wheel works amazingly for cleaning mortar off bricks and stone. Always look forward to seeing your progress.
When you finish this restoration, you will have an amazing garden.
One man vs Nature vs Mankind. This looks great.
This has been an Amazing Transformation from beginning to end.
Fantastic job. Looks amazing
I love the idea of restoring old stuff, even if its just a bunch of rocks assembled to a staircase
It looks amazing, you are really good with the stonework. Your family must be surprised by what you've unearthed in the old family garden. Love watching.👍❤️
Bravo. You gave that stairway the respect it deserves.
I feel for you!! Saw blades in the dirt don't last long and tree roots go everywhere. Tons of hard work but what an beautiful (and much safer) final result.
That was awesome!👍🏻🇺🇸
Oh that tree!! Jeeze!!! Super super hard work to get nature out of the stone structure. It's amazing the results.
it’s difficult to just sit here and watch you work so hard. I’m 70 but would want to help if I lived nearby. The steps are so beautiful I cried! I hope you are feeling immense satisfaction 👏.
Thank you, I do feel very satisfied with it.
It's nice to feel safe on the stairs, thank you.

Как гармонично с окружающей природой выглядит эта каменная лестница!
This is genuinely the dream of every kid with an imagination who liked playing in the dirt and building things.
Hat's off to you Afon, what you've achieved is simply beautiful, it just gets better and better. Love watching you work.❤
Wow!! You did an amazing job on the stairs! Thanks for sharing this adventure!
I have been into this whole project from the beginning. It’s always special when I see a video is up. The stairs have turned out beautifully!
This is such a pretty place because you have done so much to it. Your stone work is so good. This could be an area where you could restore the stone work and build a house there. Great job.
A lot of hard work but so worth it, now it looks so beautiful and tranquil. Well done 🇦🇺
I was waiting for the dragon to walk around the corner. Very cool. Dude. Keep digging. We all love what you have done to the place.
Thanks. I will keep digging!
Fantastic job you did there! Be proud! 💪👍
This transformation is so amazing. It looks clean and structurally sound also while looking ancient. Right above the ledge, on either side of the stairs it would look beautiful with some planters and bright red flowers. I’d sit out there with my tea or coffee and a book. Heaven!
Thanks. I do have some plans for planters and maybe a herb garden too, possibly some lavender.
It is really neat to see how far you've come with this restoration site over the years. Great job!
This was definitely a labor of love job& man o man you should be so extremely proud of yourself.Beautiful work& look absolutely amazing. They will now go on to last hundreds of more years to come ❤🎉 Spectacular job. And those tree roots were massive

Beautiful and honest work. Love the project!

Fantastic effort and outcome.
Beautifully restored with such good workmanship.
Thank you for taking us with you on this rediscovery.
