Samara Morgan is an adopted only child. Seemingly innocent looking but with an uneasy, eerie presence to her demeanor. She possesses powerful mental energy which she has used on almost everyone she has come in contact with. In the English language it is called projected thermography. In Chinese "Nensha." She was suffocated and dropped down a well by her adoptive mother due to the disturbing dreams and visions the mother had whenever Samara was around. A child of so much power and anger could not be silenced that easily ... it took her 7 days to die alone in the watery grave and so all that see the video she created live only 7 days after then die a terrible death after seeing the ring, just as Samara's last sight of life was the light ring created by the well cover ... sealed shut on top of her.

== COSTUME / WHITE DRESS
White dress bought from local thrift store. Cut off hemmed areas then dunked base and section of sleeves in a bucket filled with water mixed with black acrylic paint. Dabbed direct black paint onto creases & rubbed in. Let dry overnight. Ta-daaa.

Yes, I actually was scared for this video specifically! Samara was my BIG childhood-teenage fear, I'm not even sure how I ended up making myself into her haha. I was also home alone while I filmed the underwater bathtub scene and I was a little freaked out about the whole thing, it kind of felt like I was summoning a spirit or committing suicide in all honesty!

also it might be col to also do her nails because when she was stuck down the will she tried to climb back up but in the process ripped her nails and got them all chipped and bloody x
I've cosplayed Samara as well. My face makeup wasn't very good as I'm fairly new to theatrical type makeup, but I did do my nails. I grew my nails out and when it was time to cosplay, I literally cut V's into my nails and blended red and black nail polish of different ratios and used a paint brush to liberally cover my nails and parts of my fingers. It was a very successful convention. :)

thanks for posting the tutorial. I didn't do it on a person but I'm building a Samara Halloween prop and this came in very handy with acrylic paint instead of makeup

My girlfriend is japanese, she tried this shit on me, but she went whit the Grudge. And i fucking hate that movie, i really really don't like it. And when she showed up to me dressed in white whit that face, i pretty much runned like a scared lil girl. She's still laughing about it....
