Still loving mine 1.5 years in. My Ello travel mug fits in side pocket. I keep mini umbrella on other side. It's held up well with few airplane trips & well as daily bus use.
I would like to see an update on this backpack! I debated last year and got a different bag because when I read the reviews many people struggle with the zipper. Love the bag!
this looks like anello, my favourite feature of which is the large side pockets can hold a 32oz bottle. i love pockets, and the large has like 4 inside, three outside, plus back zip.
I have this bag but a canvas version. I love it. Mine has an additional 2 zippered pockets accessed from the back for security when traveling . I love how the bag opens up so you can see everything inside. My 24 Oz water bottle fits in the outside .
Target has one very similar to this. Not sure if they still have it. But I think I saw it on clearance not too long ago. I got one in black earlier this year when they had a sale. It’s nylon so ease to wipe clean. I love it, but I find I like basic tote style bags better. Either ones with a zipper or without.
That side back zip is in case you are using it as a diaper bag. you stack the diapers on the bottom and you can reach in and grab one without disturbing everything on top. I got one that is quite similar to yours.
The zipper in the back is so you can access important items without opening the top of the bag. Ideal for wallet or keys. It keeps those things close to you too so they can’t get stolen ;) love that feature. The design comes from a Japanese brand called Anello. I’ve had the same style in black for a year as a teacher bag and LOVE it. It’s cool seeing some nice inexpensive dupes in the US now!
Ugh I keep floundering about getting a new bag for this year. I'm really being sold on the backpack feature of this one. Too bad it's double the price Canadian, but I'm really digging this one. Thanks for the great review!
I have that backpack, but it's too big for me. I don't bring work home (even as a teacher). My favorite teacher bag is an expandable Le Pliage tote. Usually it's just in its original size, but if I need to bring stuff in or take stuff home I can unzip it and it becomes huge. Once I unpack it at my destination I zip it down to its original size.

Cute backpack. I figure there must be a popular, original version somewhere as I've seen various versions of this. I got a chocolate brown one from Wal-Mart (No Boundaries brand - $24) after seeing someone post it on Facebook. It doesn't have the back access but I wish it did!
I have a Allancia bag this very similar to this bag, and I use it as my work/ teacher bag and for class since I’m currently going to school. And I must say I know your bag is heavy because my bag is always heavy and I carry my iPad which is heavy, my lesson plan, a textbook depending on what class I have and my pencil case and my cosmetic bag. My bag also has the gold zipper and gold brand plate in front. But I have to say I’m not sure if it’s water proof, I live in New York and I got caught on the rain once leaving school at night and all my papers got wet. Nonetheless I still like this bag very much and it’s a big upgrade from a messenger or purse because backpacks hurt less.

Kroser on Amazon has a similiar one in a tougher material for travel. I love mine. Comparable price.
