Just using a basic Canon Powershot right now Sean since I don't have the budget to get something better. You always say the best camera is the one you've got right now, so that's what I did to get started! Appreciate you my friend, blessings! :)

I have been using a Cannon 5D Mark ii and am planning to buy an a7iii. I have used Cannon all my life but now that I am in video I think Sony is the way to go. Thanks Think Media!
Thanks! I've had my A7 III for a year and I am now just trying to shoot video with it. Very helpful! I'll have to watch it a number of time to get all the info to sink in. Well done.
ABSOLUTELY KILLER! I feel like the stars just aligned! I just bought my SONY A6400 per Sean's advice, super happy with it, and I was literally about to watch a tutorial on how to set up the camera. You guys just saved me HOURS stumbling around on youtube trying to find this exact content! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! BTW: You're a NATURAL OMAR! See you all in Vegas!
I use my iPhone to record video. It records 4K at 30fps and is great for what I do. It is a really good option for people on a budget or just beginning like me, because most people already have some sort of smart phone in their pocket. I will say though. I would suggest if recording with a smart phone, or really any camera. Make sure you are in a well lit room. It’s always better to be *OVER* lit than *-UNDER-* lit because you can always turn down your brightness without losing quality in your video but adding exposure in post can lower the quality or add grain to you video. Hope that was helpful to any beginners. 🤘🏻👊🏻😁
Grey card is typically used for exposer not color balance. But hey...it's working for ya so who am I to judge! Besides...done is better than perfect! 😜 I'm using the Canon M50 for now, but I very much want the Sony A7iii so of course I'm gonna watch this video! You're killing it Omar!
So Nice Explanation about the video settings for Sony Alpha 7M3. I tried the recommended video settings in my Sony Alpha 7M3 for 25 sec. It's it’s awesome! Thanks
I just started my TH-cam Chanel recently and I’m very glad and fortunate that my first camera was the Sony a7iii before I just used my iPhone!!! Thanks a lot think media ❤️😝🙌🙏 You help me out a lot
Thank you very much. I have sony a7 iv and ha no clue how to switch to video mode. But no I know. I will definitely follow you for more how to set focus mode
I just rented the Sony A7iii for the weekend. In the past month, I've rented the Gh5s, EOS R, and A7iii. Loved the GH5s, but it was an easy pass bc of the crappy autofocus. So far, the A7iii is the winner for me. Next week, I will try out the R5.
WOW!! I watched this channel years ago... Probably back in 2016/2017.. I've grown a lot but always struggle with video settings. THIS IS SO HELPFUL AND SIMPLE!!! Probably the most helpful video yet. Crazy. Thank you thank you. Also I'm using the Sony a7iii :) with a tamron 28-75mm
I've been using the Fujifilm XT3. Love the color profiles, smooth footage and solid photography. Been enjoying it a lot. Still learning the proper audio balancing
thats a nice feature on that mac where it doesnt have any connection ports so you have to buy a connection port whenever you want to plug anything into it. innovation.
Great video guys I just got this camera and was wondering how the hell to get this face detection up for my vlogging you’ve saved my life lol thanks guys
Perfect Video, I was helping film a bit for our church, and the videos guys were throwing all these concepts and terms for settings on our Sony A7, I was lost, I googled a couple of the settings and Boom I'm here, and you guys covered all my questions, perfectly. Thank you! Liked and Subscribed
I have this superb camera, never used it for video though until today. I'm wanting to take some videos of the moon in order to stack the individual frames into a photo.
great video but these settings are only suitable for recording one point with constant exposure. According to the title of this tutorial, it would be useful to know the camera settings for the moving camera as well.
I did that for a couple of years too and it did me good! 😀👍👊 Now I just acquired my Canon G7x Mark II and couldn’t be happier! I posted my first video with it last week before that I was posting with my tried and true iPhone. If you want to check the filming quality of the camera check my last video posted of Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream. I love how it came out! But my iPhone was my best friend for filming for a very good time. So don’t let it hold you back! 😀🌈
Awesome video, i love my A7III (use it for vlogging because for gameplay video i need that 30 min cap gone, so i use my a6500 with a modified app that clears it out and let the camera record for more) and the image that camera and 16-35mm gm lens can do is outstanding! I use the same settings aside Color Profile, wich i got the EOSHD Pro Color Profile for Sony (the one they sell and you get a psd with the information) wich i think its awesome and gives a good on camera look that only needs small tweaks later on edit. Keep up the great work! Kind Regards
Thanks for the grey card explanation!! I have one but not really sure I was doing it right with my a6400! I shoot in PP1 and like it but but I know I can do a lot better with my settings! Can’t wait for the color grading video to come out!! Thanks!
Excellent quick tutorial - much appreciated and was valuable. I like that you went through all of the different video features AND wisely recommended a short 30 sec video test before actual filming. I use Sony A7RIII for photography and after having it for 6 months I am finally going to shot video.
Hey just came here to check out what was the best lens for the Sony a7riii and I got some cool helpful tips. So I’m going to try these new settings out and see where it gets me. Thanks.
Followed most of this except for the first step. I guess we already know how to set up a My Menu Setting. Do you have a video on how to do that. Seems basic but I have not set one up yet.
I'm using my Canon T2i/550D and it's my first and main camera to shoot video, because I'm working on my passion project and I always wanted to do it. Right now I have the 18-55mm lens and the 100-300mm lens, however it's difficult to shoot even in low light conditions, so I have to increase the ISO but the grain shows the mids and shadows of the video of photo due to the lens aperture of both lenses. But anyway I whish I upgrade a Sony or Panasonic camera to shoot in 4K (DCI, of course) and this video it's useful in order to work, in this case the Sony A7III.
Thanks Omar & Sean...this was a very clear, straight forward tut...any chance I'd be lucky enough to get one on the Panasonic cameras? I've got a Lumix G7 and was just wondering.
If you are going to make a video on how to set up your camera. Maybe you should go over how you set up your custom stuff. For your 4k portion you said you had it set up in your custom menu. Someone that has a new camera doesn't know how to set up a custom menu. Maybe you should show where the settings are located (Menu 2 > Page 1). Or how to set up your control wheel to set ISO (Menu 2 > Movie Custom Key > Control wheel > Page 2 "ISO"). It was a good video but you need to remember that not everyone has been working on Sony, a lot of people have been switching from Canon or Nikon.
I havent been game to record anything yet. I'm still deciding wether to use my iPhone or my Canon 6D. This video had so much info in it that I had no idea about. Will look to see if i can find anything similar for my canon. Thank ypu
Love your videos they are so helpful!! Do you have a video for photography settings as I bought this camera and have no idea how to set up for the best quality pictures

Smartphone lol but to me it's more than enough 😆
Sony A6400
I use my iPhone. It’s great because it’s free since I already have it, plus it has great quality for beginners.

Sounds like our journey ...
We still love Canon... but for proper 4K... they are still catching up.
I was leaning towards the same thing!
Thanks! I've had my A7 III for a year and I am now just trying to shoot video with it. Very helpful! I'll have to watch it a number of time to get all the info to sink in. Well done.

Actually a grey card is preferred over a White one because it said to give the best skin tone. Personally I use the White one

This video was so helpful
You got a new subscriber very informative 💯
Weird question for Omar. What brand of glasses is he wearing? Looks like he has a decent anti-reflective coating for being on camera.
Followed most of this except for the first step. I guess we already know how to set up a My Menu Setting. Do you have a video on how to do that. Seems basic but I have not set one up yet.
Currently using the Canon 200D.
Looking at a camera upgrade now.
Maybe the Sony A7iii
Awesome video. Making my first video with the A7 iii and this was what I needed.
I am using an EOS R with the Canon 16-35 4L and the Rode mic Go.

It blinks red on your screen indicating it’s recording
