As i was test riding, I found that the headlight was extremely hot. I also felt it quite difficult to shift the gear from first to neutral. Is it a defect in general or with that piece only or its not a defect?

Why cruise does not have tubeless tyres :( . Wouldnt they be more needed for long drives in case of punctures on highways?
It would be better if someone throws light on differences in cruise and street 1) Wheels (spike vs spoke) 2) Handlebar 3) Type of Tyres (tubeless vs tubed) 4) Tyre width (does cruise have wider tyre at rear?)

shiwang limbu I own a cruise. I would suggest you cruise though for comfort. as let your requirement of short rides, obviously street is the one for you. I would still suggest cruise because you are in college ;)

I'm planning to buy a Bike and i have Finalise these 2 Options - 1. Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 and 2. Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220.
I have came across quite a few Negative Reviews regarding the maintenance of Thunderbird and the Vibration issue.I know there is a price difference of 60K but if i keep that part out of the equation,Could you please advise the Pros and Cons for these two Bikes. I'm really confused as my Heart says for Thunderbird but Mind says for Avenger Cruise.

Thanks Saurav... my requirement is : Daily city ride : 10km aprox and Long trips on every weekend(every means atleast 2-3 trips of aprox 400 km in a month ) ..?So is it ok to go with street instead of cruise ?
I bought this bike 2 months back for city ride mostly. Initially even I thought that this bike is a cruiser and not meant for city ride. have heard many people reviewing that this bike is not good for city ride. Right now my meter is 1200 Kms. and believe me, the people who said that its not meant for city ride are totally wrong. I find no problem riding this bike even on city roads. Its too comfortable. Plus you can easily make cuts. The good part is that it is much lighter than the previous model, so that handling and taking curves is much easy. The best part is the pickup speed and the exhaust sound. I love this bike. And to the people who are wondering, in which City I am riding this bike, well its on bangalore streets. Just google traffic in bangalore. I cover 16 kms which is from my home to office in just 25 minutes. Even on city roads, I am able to maintain 60-70 kmph speed. And you wont believe but its true. I am getting mileage of 42 km with standard petrol and 45-46 km with premium petrol after 1st service. Before that I was getting 37. Also, if you want to modify the sound of the bike, Use shell oil instead of stock oil. Hope you will make a good decision :)

i dont like aho. consumes lot of battery power
Aho works after engine starts and engine drive the alternator. so when aho will start working it will consumes power from both alternator and battery paralally. so it will not affect the battery too much.
