Well my friends were listening to pop music I was listening to Shirley Bassey in the 70s and now in the year 2023 I am still listening to her I have lived

She looks absolutely fabulous, when other singers were doing drugs , she was keeping herself fit and looking after her vocal chords, they are the main reasons she can still sing at 85. She is a true professional and a living legend.

Yeah, it's interesting to see her body from her cut-out dress. She looks like she effortlessly pulls it all out of nowhere usually but here you see that she literally puts her whole body into it. Such extraordinary talent.
SHIRLEY KNEW HOW TO PUT A SMILE ON THE AUDIENCE FACES.. THATS WHAT MAKES A SUCCESSFUL PERFORMER.. SHE KNEW HER FANTASTIC VOICE WAS NOT ENOUGH TO BE VERY SUCCESSFUL, FOR ME SHE IS STILL THE GREATEST FEMALE PERFORMER OF ALL TIME
The first time ever I saw Her face and heard Her voice, happened 1 Year later. And I love Her so much until the present.
Many audiences were not appreciating great singer and nice music. Wow!

She's 100% professional and gives the torpid audience a performance that evidently they do not deserve. Quite suddenly the audience stirs. She lives in Monte today but in 1970 I think she was living in Switzerland. The Italian husband she mentions was the GM of a wonderful hotel on Venice's Lido. I was there in July-August 1968 when she was in residence and met and fell in love with the guy. I love that dress she's almost wearing...

This is years ago in which still had that naievite of perfomance...possibly during the exile before the comeback to talk of the town when she showed herself as a true faboulous diva lol, bassey much better when older but she had to perorm to a bunch of monte carlo rich brats.... she sung her heart out she got them in the end....fab.

No one ever asked her in her interviews what her fitness routine was. She has excellent muscular tone. You can see it her arms and abs.

1970 audiences were much more conservative, didn't hoot and Holla like today. They did what any sporting club audience would do in those days. Very appreciative audience. Europeans and Australians rarely stood in those days, it was purely an American thing.
Yes...the continued applause in unison is how they preferred to acknowledge a great performance. I experienced this many years ago with the Danish Audiences. 🙂

Most of the audience are members of Monaco's(rich) population, and other rich persons from Europe.You need lot of money to buy tickets to the (exclusive) Monte Carlo Sporting Club performances,and so the audience would not know a great artist when they see one.
Well she did win them around and then sprint off stage leaving them all literally flummoxed 😆

Is the mic even on? From the dead audience to the combative orchestra, this gig gave her nothing to work with.
But dont forget this not just every singer - this is One and Only One Shirley Bassey
with voice and interpretation like not another - Shirley couldnt mange any thing - she was having fun as always regardless this dull audience- Long noses rich elite of Monte Carlo
- and I think this is why she sung that famous song of her this is my life so soon - usualy is close to end of her concert ! LOL and remember she was Black women even her mum was white, could be the reservation about that - its 70s and Europe ,,, But they clap a lot on the end haha realizing Shirleys voice and her lovely joyful personality :):):)

La descubrí aprox en 1980 y desde entonces me encantó y es mi interprete favorita, tengo 2 LPs con sus éxitos y 1 casette. Algunas canciones las pude bajar de internet y las tengo en mi ipod. Me encanta. Ne emociona escucharla. No sabía que tenía Parkinson. Que pena.
Siempre dije que si algun día viniera México iría a du concierto, aunque me costara caro. No pudo ser.
