A lot of people are complaining about that underwater view, and I feel bad about it... So I bought a GoPro 4 BLACK! be sure to subscribe, because a Im posting a new video on this in a week!
What can i do with molten aluminum, pour it into anthills maybe.. In this video I pour over 5 POUNDS of red-hot molten aluminum metal into a pool. The metal makes a crazy noise and remains molten all the way to the bottom of a 6 foot deep pool.

I get a lot of hate for the underwater view. The camera was a GoPro HD2. Factors which made the video blurry : Early GoPro models were not suited well for underwater.. The lens is slightly curved, always causing blurry video. The pool was cold, causing condensation to form inside the case. My pool was kind of dirty. Also I never expected this video to become so popular.

Having worked around molten aluminum for 41 years in a foundry I can tell you that you took a needless risk. Molten metal and water do not mix. Even under what you consider to be safe conditions. The possibility of an eruption is just too great. Thank you for the video and I’m glad you weren’t injured.
He's done several if these videos even claiming that aluminium-water explosions are a myth.

Aluminium, no matter how hot it is, even above 1000C will Always have a silver color when molten and falling in the air, can you confirm this?

Not to be a killjoy but what you just did in this video was very dangerous. First molten metals and water are not a good mix. Although since you were dumping it into a swimming pool, there was little risk of a steam explosion splattering molten aluminum everywhere. Please don't try it the other way around. Secondly and in this instance more important, you have on absolutely no protective equipment while handling molten aluminum. You don't have eye protection, gloves, or chaps. My god man, you're not even wearing jeans! In addition, you don't even have the correct tooling to hold the crucible. What was that, a pair of pruning shears? I say these things not to scold but to hopefully educate. In the future please make an attempt to use the proper protective equipment. Not only are you putting yourself in danger but little kids may watch this and try to copy you. By not addressing these safety concerns, you are putting them in danger as well. Moulton aluminum on your skin will give you 3rd degree burns in a split second. If it touches clothing, it will catch it on fire instantly. I'm all for experimentation but please use aforethought and do it safely.

Yes, true, I am afraid. There are numerous examples of accidents and explosions from the aluminum industry where water and liquid aluminum meet. The "shoot out" of steam is exactly the issue, since the aluminum outside the shell may still be liquid. This could form hot metal droplets bursting out. Small amounts of water and large amounts of aluminum is worse than the other way around.
It has been proven when you have at least 40 inches of water you can safely pour reasonably low quantities of liquid aluminum in it
It is not the pouring of aluminum that is the problem. It is the re-melting of the poured aluminum. If water is trapped inside the aluminum poured, and then re melted, that water can cause a steam explosion within the newly melted aluminum. That steam explosion can cause melted aluminum to spray out.
