Good honest review, Mason. I bought a 2018 XRx about 6 weeks ago, and love it! Haven't had a bike for literally 20 years, and the Tiger is just great. Agree with all your pros and cons too. Being picky, a con is you can hear just about every moving component in the engine, especially what sounds like valve train clatter between 3000 and 4500rpm. It's had the big 10k service, so maybe it's just a 'feature' of these engines. Regarding the luggage, mine came with an aluminium Givi top box, which is exactly the same as the Triumph ones, just without the Triumph logo and premium ;-)
I have a 2018 XCA and have the same issue as one of the comments below. I cannot get it onto the centre stand, even unloaded and empty, perhaps I'm a bit too light (67Kg) so I have a hack, I carry a small 2" x 4" piece of wood. Its light and really helps get the bike off the ground, once I've rolled the rear wheel onto it. Good video, I'm doing my first road trip in October, from Cornwall UK to Nice France so looking forward to seeing how the bike and comfort in the saddle performs.
I must say I'm struggling with the seat - that's been my major headache. I've tried the 'comfort' version (doesn't make any difference as far as I can tell), I've had it professionally re-upholstered (made it worse if anything!), and I bought a Touratech seat for it - again not much improvement. I've now splashed out on a Sergeant seat, which is on it's way as I write this. I couldn't do much more than 2, maximum 3, hours on any of the seats before needing a break. Hopefully the Sergeant is going to put that up 5+ hours. I don't know if my age has something to do with it - my butt isn't as cushioned as it used to be! But with my Bonneville which I upgraded to a Mustang seat, I could ride all day and all night if I wanted to. It was just fabulous.
I’ve got the 2018 XRT, I love it and have no regrets thank you for your video. (I’ve put the 20” madstad screen on) my only issue is not being able to locate an above lcd gps mount.
Wow, I have a 2014 Tiger 800 XC and highway cruising is it 4200-4500 RPM. I agree you really want that lower rpm for long distance. I also added a top wind deflector to the top of mine. Really helps for long distance. I do wish I had that screen. Mine is the old style dash. And it’s not very useful at all. Cruise control would be AMAZING for long trips. Nice review.

Great commentary mate. Very clear and comprehensive. You really covered all the points so well. Cheers
Great review.... want to add how solid and steady the ride is with full panniers and a passenger. Rock solid.
My bike is your same ride... love it!!
Your review helped a lot. Thanks man

Nice review.
XRX does come with a USB port - it is under the seat
Probably why he didn't find it.. who would think to look there :-D
Nice
Bye new.
