- Mr. Goodpliers heads off to another abandoned farmstead with Joe to check out old cars, sheds, farm machinery and the ruins of a burned down house! We load a 1957 Ford car, but what else will we find?
I love that your bringing old rustic cars back to life! Enjoying the video thanks 😊
Just found your channel, 57 ford my dream car always wanted one . But on disability and not able to work anymore it's just a dream now . Enjoyed watching you save it .
That 57 is very rust free on the outside. Lots of good parts. Thanks for the video 👍
You and Joe are living the dream.
We did the same in the late 70s, rescuing every wrecked and abandoned 55 chevrolets we could find around Nor Cal.
The memories you guys will have will last a life time.
(alot longer than wedding, b-days or christmas's).
Cherish your friendship with Joe.
..
By the way "T,G and Y" stands for Toys, Gifts and Yo Yos.
Great old car. In the mid 60s my cousin had a 57 or 58 Mercury. Good memories..
My second car was a 57 ford 4 door 223 cu in 3 on the tree two tone gray awesome car!
Love Your Vidios. Brings Back Lots of Memores. THANKS.
Thank you for stopping by the channel!
Hey guys, that burned wagon is a Datsun 610 wagon, ‘73-76. Extreeemely rare car nowadays. I’d kill to have that thing in serviceable condition, but seeing one at all is cool.
i think this car is a part car for saving other 1957 cars
Thanks for saving for saving her. Very cool find.
That old wagon looks like a 510 or 180b Datsun, great video
definitely a 510 wagon
Toys , Games, and Yarn. Great store in its day
The car looks pretty good from the outside. Nice camera angles as well. A different Perspective for sure.
Cool old Ford. I keep imagine it painted beige bottom up to the side trim with beige old stock wheels and red top and of course a descent engine and enterior. Nothing hotroder or lowrider. Just descent stock car...
Great industrial archeological finds. It so helpful that you know the farm equipment. Great video.
Great Video , your brother is an animal , strength seemingly unequalled this day with couch potatoes like myself ! Truly a blessing to watch people just hanging out and chit chatting like not a care in the world ! Seriously I imagine most of your viewers could do the same , it's as if I'm there listening to that property owner tell stories while sitting here in my own comfort zone . I've got an old car in my garage that I purchased but like your shows the younger man in me would have much rather drug it out of the woods and built it myself ! Keep doing God's work , I believe your videos are truly inspiring ! 👍
Thanks for stopping by the channel Mike, and thanks for your take! Right on, I would say
Loved the ladies talking to yall as yall dug it out!
really?i found it annoying as all hell!!!
It was fun listening to her. She was a character.
@@josephs44 Yea, I think this other fella missed the whole point of this channel, if they were "Trying To Work" they would be doing something that earned money. This is all about collecting experiences/hearing stories and saving history...
@@outcastprojects6733 I'm "Joe" in the video, and we DO earn money doing this 🙂
@@josephs44 I know that,I live in southwest ks ,and I'm into old stuff too,but you Earn less than if you just loaded that whole farm in a semi trailer and ran it over the scales. Hence the nostalgia/history is a large factor...
Tough and good rescue Guys ! 😎👍😎
Love watching the old car retrieve episodes, but I just wish you all had microphones, so we can hear all your commentary, keep up the great Vlogs, ❤️🦘🦘🦘
Crawling around down there you may even meet some cute little snakes 🐍
Just ran across your American Pickers episode this weekend. I had it on in the background but as soon as I heard that voice, I knew it was Mr. Goodpliers. It was great to get some background on your entry into the hobby.
Hi can you tell me how to find that American pickers with Mr Goodpliers? Thanks.
@@cj8172 I think it was season 18, don’t remember the episode #. The history channel plays multiple episodes on the weekends , that’s how I watched it.
@@2011joser Ok cool, thanks
The episode name was "One Wheel Deal"
@@mr.goodpliers6988 Hi mate thanks, always watching your videos from here in New Zealand, wishing I lived in the U.S. Keep up the great vids.
I sure hope you scarf up any Briggs motors you come across. Best engines ever in my opinion. 🙂
One of my first nice cars was a 57 "frog eye" fairlane tudor hardtop with all the goodies from that year. I still love them to this day... kinda surprised that you don't kick most of the rats nests out right there where it came from
TG&Y named after the founders , Tomlinson, Gosselin and Young.Started out of Kingfisher . 👍
😂1932
Is "Kingfisher" a Planet?
Great job Saving one more
Another great find.I have never seen this particular bumper guard.
It reminds me of how Canadian cars were outfitted.
Congratulations another $100 Dollar 4 door junker saved !.
Fairly rust free body from the outside. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
Great video.
Great adventure gravelly tractor
Looks like a Canadian Ford Meteor. (57)
The birds seemed happy
great pick up sir.
👍👍
Wooden framed sheds like London bridge are a falling
You can take a combine and take all the equipment off except the running gear in the cab and make a really nice little enclosed tractor strip it down to the frame and running gear
The burned out car is likely a Datsun 610 or 710
The Wagon Looks To Be A Datsun 510 If I'm Not Mistaking
That rusty wagon is a Datsun 180B wagon but I think it is called something else in the US? 810?
What will you do with the 57? Just park it in a field with the others?
Sell it whole or part it out. It will live on in other cars surely.
I'd be interested in whole car or parts
The garden tractor you found in the shed is a David Bradley first generation from early forties the first generation didn't have the hood
Ive been down and out for a bit dealing with Covid... 2 family members also got it !
Dude sounds like a cross between Forrest Gump and Mountain Man from Duck Dynasty lol.
Some early automatic trans had rear pump
Pushin it would build enough pressure inside to lock up a gear to turn engine over so it would start
Great car. I wished you had also saved that... Traction Motor?... plow from scrap, but we do what we can.
TG&Y was a chain of five and dime stores. They were based in Oklahoma. There's an exhibit on the store's history in Kingfisher.
David. Bradley. Garden. Tractor
Burnt car is a early 70's Toyota corolla ?
If you've never seen "Thunder Road" check it out. Robert Mitchum had 2 cars in that movie, a 1950 shoe box Ford with a souped up Flathead and a 57 like the one you're rescuing. It's a classic hillbilly moonshiner movie.
lot of stuff I would take
Dont let jayhawkers on your property...Things will grow legs and walk away.
The garden tractor is a David Bradly ...no hood...
I love the show watching from aust. I got a 1955 olds could you source a couple of bits please. Obviously for a fee. Cheers
Hi! Thanks for stopping by the channel Stuart. Joe has a couple Oldsmobiles from the mid 50s for parts. Send him an email, rustranchkansas@gmail.com
The older autos had a rear pump that was driven by the driveshaft. It was so you could push start them
hope that car is saveable
Dont fear the Reaper. The Gleener maybe, but not the Reeper!
Mazda wagon, early 70's
Combines are Gleaner model A's. Joe's walk behind garden tractor may be a Bolens.AL B .
Mr g00d pliers did u buy chevys in falls city
The market there was upside down!
Details to come in next video...
Better watch where you step out there.might find some rusty nails.
You can drive out nature with a pitch fork
But it always comes roaring back again
~Tom Waits song: ''Misery Is The River Of The World''
.album: "Blood Money" (2002)
Note all th e "papa's recipe" bottles laid around , 100% proof
That David Bradley walking tractor with the cultivators is worth about 750 as it sits !
I’d like to come dig for bottles and jars on that property if the owner would allow?
1957 Ford out sold 1957 Chevrolet.
Barely...
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?
Got ticks?
I can say one thing, you’ll don’t play when it comes to relocating stuff!!
What type of drum puller are you using, I could really use a tool like that!
For the rear, you use a big three jaw gear puller. For the front, a three-legged hub puller that mounts to the lug studs.
We pick them up at estate sales, auctions, and swap meets, but I have seen them available online, even Amazon and WalMart.com
damn ,would be nice if that lady could shut up!always sucks when your working and someone is always talking!!!
She was just fine. Had interesting stories and helped us out a bit too.
Well I guess it’s yours for the taken
gold 70s mower
If that frame isn't rusted out I will be very surprised
first car, the one burned, is that for sale too?
So Tim, where the combines are parked, are we to assume that was all farmland?
It's a David Bradley
Datsun engine...in the burner
It looks like a old Toyota Corona from the early 60's
Why is Joe doing all the work and you just standing there ??
He's the photographer
🙂👍👏👊
I think the burnt car was a Toyota Crown.
👍
That's a comet built in Canada I think .
is that wagon a 70s topyota crown staion wagon? maybe?
This is not copart, guess you'll be working Camara man to hook this one...
I'm gonna say Datsun or Nissan
Would you sell the 57 i need the whole front clip ?
This car is available for parts. Send Joe an email, rustranchkansas@gmail.com
Wtf is that black shadow that goes from left to right on the screen when your loading up the car you say "it'll straighten it self out" 49:00
