Mogi! I love your content. I purchased your course a couple years back and it was so good! I have an established Poshmark account and still add to my closet today, but mostly to justify new purchases. I have a full time job/career but something about reselling just lights me up! Anyway, I love hearing what’s working and not working for you. Love that you made a career from reselling. It’s so much fun! -Marcie
I think reselling used clothes is harder now. People are looking for bargains so you almost have to sell everything really cheap. I bought some nice items on Poshmark just a couple days ago for $2 each.
I've started picking up CrewCuts (J. Crew kid brand) from the bins. It doesn't cost really anything, I'm already at the bins, and it sells for me just as fast as adult J. Crew.
AF used to be a higher end brand back in the 80’s. I remember going to The Galleria in Houston and their sweatshirts were about $100 and this was 40 years ago. I’m not sure when it turned into a younger person brand but my oldest son who is 35 now wore it a lot when he was in high school. He basically looked like the guys in their ads. Lol. Thanks for another great video!!
Great info! I always talk myself out of J. Crew because it was THE brand i wanted but couldn’t afford as a kid, but it didn’t sell well. But if it’s having a moment!! I may need to reconsider! I did not realize Ted Baker and J Brand were shutting down or gone! Thank you for the info. I *wish* I could predict what sells well, but I am constantly surprised….
I have a rule that I don't pick up more items from a brand until I sell the ones I already have in my closet. My only exceptions are high end vintage brands because those pieces are much harder to find NWT or in good condition. I have nearly 4000 available listings in my Poshmark closet so I don't need any more inventory. It's got to be exceptional for me to add more now.
I greatly appreciate resellers no longer picking up Dansko! Haha! Condition based, I always buy it, it sells so well for me. The Taupe Milled Nubuck in a style like Marisol is an exceptional performer, pushing $80-90 ASP.
When I first started reselling 2 years ago I remember so many resellers saying to pick up any dansko, they will sell. So I picked up three pairs, sold two after sitting listed for more than a year and multiple price drops and I still have a pair for sale. No more dansko for me. Surprised when I hear others say they sell them quickly.
New scandal about CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch could change everyone's mind in the next few months about this brand. My advice, pick up with caution as I think sales will plummet, depending on how much the press covers it. I always enjoy your videos and always heed your advice about brands and style. Thank you for your continued content.
J crew and Abercrombie & Fitch are two of my best selling brands. Doesn’t always ell fast but usually does sell and some pieces for good money. Am a fan on A&F jeans especially curve love. J crew blazers are awesome too.
I went through that exact same process with Abercrombie. I’m also wondering if the recent arrest of the former CEO will affect its performance in the next couple of months.
Honestly reselling in the last year has changed so much, all the high end brands that did well no longer do & sourcing COGS have gone crazy in sore & online!! The other things is some companies are now doing their own auctions on whatnot so resellers can't sell them for hardly anything.
Thanks for the video! I totally agree with you! I was just wondering how you like renting your office, and cost if you don't mind sharing? I would love to rent an office space but its pretty expensive here in CA.
@@DelShawnHayesMoneyControlTV Oh yeah! I have two pairs of black ones that I have been sitting for quite sometime. But the flare jeans sold super fast and had a ton of interest. So I think that is probably the only thing I would pick up in the future.
I HAAAAAAATE checking comps😩 can someone direct me to a details comps video pls. I’m not sure I’m doing it right. Seems like on posh the only way to get sales is to feed it listings😕
I’m no longer picking up most athleta. It has to be really substantial. Same for Fresh Produce and Boden. I still pick up any sleepwear by Eileen West if it’s in good condition. I can’t keep that brand in my closet. I also NEVER PASS on LAKE pajamas, gowns, and athleisure. Every piece by that brand sells for good money. And I’ve gone back to picking up Madewell jeans and sweaters. Not the skinny jeans. But bootcut, kick flare, and flare.
See, I sell every piece of Athleta I pick up. I pretty much buy all of it I find. I’m loving some of these videos telling ppl to skip stuff that sells well for me. Means I can actually get my best sellers. Chicos, LOFT, Athleta are just 3 I’ve seen recently that I sell every week.
As for style, I was waiting for Gen Z to discover bandage dresses. As from last night (Alix Earle wore it on red carpet) I think it’s going to be a thing.
Add La Femme to your list. I've heard you talk about it and as far as formal wear goes it sells horribly. I have $800 NWT gowns that I can't get rid of for $50.
Allbirds is another dead to me brand, like betabrand. I don't pick up either anymore. Also North Face and Gymshark. I am super picky with Athleta and Lululemon now. Polo and Ralph Lauren has been doing well for me this year. I am seeing a lot of movement with the brand.

I've found that once brands hit TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, Costco, Kohls, etc., they tank on the resale market.
Yes, please do a video about styles! That would be great!!
That would be great!!!!
Other than haul videos, these are my favorite. So much good info, very helpful for when you're out in the wild!

Great video! I would love to see a video on some of your worst thrifted finds.
I should clarify - I meant your worst thrifted pickups!
Agreed on all brands you mentioned! I also became pickier with Madewell/FP/Anthro
Lululemon and Alo
Aritzia
Express
Lovers + Friends
Eileen Fisher

You can sell for higher but yes everyone wants a deal
A&F is having a moment. The curve love jeans fly out of my closet.
Great Video! This was really, really helpful!
Yes to all of it!! I cannot GIVE COS away! Loved this video! :)
Appreciate you taking the time to do these videos

Yes! I’ve been having so much interest in kids items: crewcuts, mini Boden, Hanna Andersson
Great info, thank you!
I loved this video! I love the humor and sincerity! These are the brands that are dead to me kills me😂😂😂😂thank you!!!!
Torrid exceptions (for me at least): bras and swim. I can typically get $15-$17 in profit on bras and $25-$35 on swim, depending on the piece

Great tips, I enjoy sharing tips like these as well in my videos.
Happy Fall! Thanks for the video.

I've always loved JCrew too. I just picked up a bunch for myself on Thredup when they had a sale and free shipping.
Commenting to stay on your videos!🎉

THIS! I'm the same. I have 3 jeans that's not selling. No more jeans until those are sold.
I like that thought process a lot
Totally agree with you on all of this, although I have had a few quick, decent sales of Torrid items lately. Thanks for the video!
The "Draper James RSVP" line is at kohl's

J crew has picked can you do a updated list on jeans after one of ypur vids i picked r13 up and they are doing great for me

What brands I pick up is style dependent. I never pick up FRAME jeans but I found wide flare at GW for $5 and sold in 1 day for $63.
I literally just left these exact jeans today! 🤦♀️ In general I can’t move Good American jeans.
Frame flare sell 70+ for me
@@patipetals Mine had some wear on the hems.
Would love a styles video! Thanks Morgan! I saw Frye at Costco the other day:(

I was wondering the same thing when I saw that on the news.
I wondered about that as well, but it hasn't decreased my A&F sales... maybe because he was a former CEO and not the current.

I did recently find Betabrand wide leg jeans that sold really well and fast for over $40. Otherwise I skip.
I have 5 pairs of Betabrand in my closet that haven’t sold and it’s almost been a year. I may pull and wear them myself.

I just found Farm Rio at TJ;((
Brands, brands, brands... 🧐

As a mom of a really tall thin 11 year old A&F are some of the only jeans that fit her well 😔
Dansko is a BIG seller for me !

The more unique the brand, the better.
Aerie, AF do great. Most ages can wear their clothes.
I just finally sold a billy Reid button down after 2 years….for $8😢
J crew natural fiber items sell well
I hate the high rise trend… ugh!
Eloquii is still doing great for me
Are you familiar with the brand TRIBAL? I have a really nice leather jacket that I don’t know what to price it. It’s like new.
I just took photos tonight of my Tribal tops. They were very pricey new few yrs ago. Hoping they sell quick!
I think people want clothes, no matter the brand, go so cheap.
Abercombie is a dud for me!
☆☆☆The Former CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch was indicted last week☆☆☆☆
Everyone is different… J Crew still hot.
Another thing is everyone seems to want plus size…
Omg the horse shoe jeans are hideous.
Abercrombie's CEO was just arrested for sexual assault. Not a good sign. J. Crew is a no-no for me. I can't give J. Crew away.
Former CEO-current CEO for past 7 years is Fran Horowitz, a woman. So not sure that really matters, especially with the age group who buys this brand.
❤❤❤❤❤
i cant give away those plus size brands
A&F is having a moment. The curve love jeans fly out of my closet.
