- September 2014 i decided to fly my Parajet Paramotor from Lands End out to the Isles of Scilly, a journey of over 28 miles over water being followed by some friends in a boat. This is an alternate version of the scillies flight complete with talking (mostly rubbish) and the lovely roar of a two stroke engine. This clip also has a more detailed showing of my rather rubbish landing.... I thought i was high enough to make the beach but dropped a lot faster than expected. Sucked right in to the beach and hit the water. I think this was due to it being close to midday and there was a lot of thermal activity rising from the beach.

Well done !!! One lucky man ! Your guardian angles were definitely working for you!
Your landing was due to the sudden drop in RPM's which causes you wing to pitch forward and dive making you come up short on your landing. Glad to see you are ok ;-) Must have been quite the adventure flying over the ocean like that.

Lovely landing Ben ;) You'll have to come up to the Shetland one day with it (on a day with no wind, which is rare lol).
Not my best I will admit, but then any landing you can walk away from is a good landing ! Would love to visit Shetland some time !
Did you have the trims out? I was like, wow, he didnt flair at all.... lucky the extended leg didnt catch in the soft sand and crack your knee... :)
