B)Rumiko Takahashi and the Japanese voice acting staff from Inuyasha all agree that Jaken was Rin's reluctant 'father figure' - he was the one actually playing games with her and scolding her when she misbehaved and eating meals with her - this is shown more in Inuyasha final act. C) In interviews with both the voice actors for Rin and Sesshoumaru they agreed that Sesshoumaru was Rin's protector, not Father and both were open to the idea of Sesshoumaru marrying Rin when she's older.
