SC2 Patch 1.22.21: We have been concerned about recent protoss and terran success including their 12% win rate. This negatively reflects on Zerg's ability to win games. To balance the game, we will be implenting a new feature for Zerg, a button called "Win now". We believe this will greatly improve the balance of SC2 and make it more competitive for zerg. To ensure this change does not overly improve zerg, zergs will need to click the button twice before winning the game. This ensures that great skill will be required to click the button to win game.

@@noobzerg1990 I agree with the Terran here. As a Protoss, the speedling needs a nerf. You Zergs get away with 0 IQ early game, easily going up to 3 bases unpunished every time. You need to be able to think and do something to get a mining third that's safe. There needs to be better ways than do or die all-ins to put early pressure on a Zerg. And I'm not talking top 20 GM, I'm talking every league up to Master 2. The Zergling does too much and forces walls every game. THAT is boring. For everyone. Zerg is expanding on the map hammering some poor Terran or Protoss who has to turtle up to survive, then the Zerg sees his bread and butter armies evaporate to better T/P armies, which is boring for the Zerg (and frustrating when losing after throwing 200/200 armies at a 150/200 army that never dies). Zergs have become complacent with easy scouting, easy map control, easy expansions because of the speedling. Put Zergling speed at lair tech and nerf it 0,30 speed and much is done. Also simply remove the lurker from the game (or at least nerf the range to max 7 with the upgrade). Make hatcheries 350 minerals. Then I think Zerg is balanced.

Its like the patch team believes that secretly, inside of the existing protoss tech, there are winning strats but the pros are too lazy or distracted to find them and that this patch should fix things by removing the distractions. Hopefully they are right.
